I had a word with the manager the other day whilst having a beer with Dougal.

The upstairs area is a smoking environment.

The beers available are draught Guinness, Kilkenny, Heineken & Chang. Bottled Chimay Bleue (around 300 Baht! There are one or two other Belgian beers I believe), San Miguel Pale Pilsner, San Mig Light, Singha, Chang, Heineken, and probably Asahi.

Wines are available too.

Food is a strange mix of Dutch, English and Thai, but it seems to work ok. Prices are probably double that of Chiang Mai, but OK for Bangkok.

Well, you could read the thread, but then you'd be hopelessly confused, as I was. I was ready for a swing up to Chiangmai, but now discover that it will be held in the vicinity of Chez Marmite: Soi Cowboy.

sorry missed that question, yep eat there alot - foods ok nothing special but ok - some german sausages pig trotter etc - thia food's reasonable.

thats actually not a bad idea - cos they are rarely busy - so room enough for us. openair (with roof) so smokers are welcome.

the staff are not the barfinable types and they dont seem to get any freelancers in there.... but soi cowboy is a short stroll away for those so inclined later in the evening.

and having just done that i see that the ole dutch appears to be the venue of choice - not a bad choice really but i suspect that was always your agenda anyway so one wonders y u needed to ask the masses ?
