Cars are a complete rip-off here, especially second-hand or imports. But even those built here are marginally more expensive than those same models in the UK (not taking into account running costs).

You're absolutely right about used cars here being such a rip off. Before I bought a new Yaris, I had looked at used ones for which they wanted more money. That's more money for a used car with the same level of equipment than for a new one. Everything used in Thailand is like that. Thailand is Amazing! The greedy little bas*ards would apparently prefer to have them sit than sell them for a decent price.
