^Spin how about paying half the imaginary money you lose on this game. If you don't lose, you don't pay. I wonder what DD would think about this? You have to set an end date to this though. It could be costly if you are wrong.

Quick reality check for you, go back to post 37 and look at the 4100$ profit that has already been taken off the table. Now consider that there are stop loss orders in place to protect total profit at 6000$.Originally Posted by Rattanaburi

You didnt really think I would come on here and put myself in a position where i could possibly be shown to lose money, so that everyone and his brother could rip the piss out of me? No chance!
Ok, I see, I never see that mentioned anytime the price of oil goes up though, its always this rocket has been fired in Iran or its the traders to blame, etc etc etc. Maybe I need to read more on the topicOriginally Posted by bkkandrew
Anyone do Time and Cycles work here? Market Geometry? I trade front month S&P futures mostly. Gotta love the volatility.
^ Not me, I'm just coming to grips with technical analysis. Just sorting out the bollinger from the Moet at the moment
Hows it going for you? Are you turning a profit in these troubled waters?

Baby, toys, pram. I guess you got away with being able to spout unchallenged nonsense for 9K posts prior to my arrival? And now you are sore that has come to an end....
^ LOL, you got to be joking, you are ignorant, keep posting senseless news to make some obscure point, and keep predicting the end of days, and then claim to be some kind of god predicting all things financial,
you are obviously not serious, and I take you as such. Why should I debate you when you can't even add 2+2
ok I am too lazy to go back, could you detail your virtual trades here and see what we are getting really ? it feels like you are double counting, unrealized gains on shares you have already sold, surely this is not the caseOriginally Posted by Spin
I'll take that as a 'yes' to my point of you being sore that you cannot get away with talking nonsense on financial matters on this forum any more...
I also note you have abandoned the threads that your arguments have been shown to be wrong. If you wish, you could challenge this and I can then post the links.
Or you could simply stop digging the hole.
Please do, I love having online stalkers. I think you are reading a bit too far between the lines, and I am suspecting now that you are a full blown psycho.Originally Posted by bkkandrew

That brings us to Friday which as a day will remain in our hearts as the day that Fannie May and Freddie Mac, the two government sponsored mortgage companies lost 50% of their market value only to recover after a well placed lie in the media sparked a recovery in their stock price
Thats how things stand right now, 6784$ + 4100$ = oh i dont know I c
ant be arsed, go back and read the thread
^ thanks spin, for the recap, very much appreciated
Spin, just curious I don't know you too well. Have you actually made money in stocks? You seem pretty confident with this. Personally, I haven't really done and daytrading. There was a time when daytrading was big but it seems like it never makes the news anymore.
I'd guess you can't really claim any profit until you stop playing all together. I mean if you started with 20k and sold a stock putting 4k profit on that stock into your account you could say that you had 4k that wasn't going anywhere for sure but until all the money is in that moneymarket account you can't really say that you have made a profit. If you have 4k then you sell out the 20k you have in the market and have 24k in your moneymarket you would have made 4k in profit.
I guess at the moment your total account value is over your initial investment so if you sold instantly at the opening you would have about the current total amount.
I'm not trying to harrass you or anything. It just an observation. Your stocks look like winners to me. Even if we can't drive our cars or buy new clothes, we still want to have dinner and heat our homes.
The trades in this thread reflect trades that I have in real life, so you could assume that yes I am making money. I've lost money too, but at the end of the month I generally come out on top. Right now this is a tough tough market to be involved in though, be a whole lot easier to turn profits in 6-9 months from nowOriginally Posted by Rattanaburi

When I placed the trades for this thread it was practically impossible for me to lose money, it was all about timing you see.
Looks to me like your having trouble following the numbers on this thread, there all right there above on those 4 pages, maybe i didnt lay it out well enough, sorry about that. Go back and have a closer look, take out your calculator, if you need it, to check those numbers but dont forget this is only a game.Originally Posted by Rattanaburi
^So I see you're following my advice Spin and making some money. You're still a learner though and I will pass you on to the next level of financial wisdom.
Buy even lower, sell even higher.
I see the gain but what I am saying is that until all your stocks become cash in your hand and not in the market there's no real gain. If you sold out right now you would have some gain for sure but if you wait and something changes quickly then you sell overall you could have lost money from your initial total investment in this account. I'm not denying that you show a realized gain on that one stock. But until all your stocks(your whole account) are converted to cash you can't say that you've made more money than you initially started with. That $6784 doesn't exist as profit until you sell out. If you sell everything right now you would have a great profit right now but until you do you don't know what you'll have in your account at the end of the day. Just because you've won one hand on a poker table doesn't mean you will leave the table with cash if you keep playing.
