No matter what you do will have protuberances on outer walls. I would leave it as is. Sort if a status symbol. Look here I have aircon.
Explore the possibilty of painting not only coolant lines but also compressor shell.

It's clever to locate the unit under the deck itself Klondyke..probably too late for us for that as the units are fixed already.
...but the screen.. simple enough to make - i could probably knock that up myself but of course on a much smaller scale - that unit in the picture is humongous!
Other than painting the coolant lines, I would opt for do nothing. Once you are moved in and settled doubt you will even notice.
Can't recall if your shutters are double or single? If single, have swing away from coolant lines. If double, should be able to attach over the coolant lines.
I think the paint you require for the cooling units would be an Enamel paint.
Over here I use Humbrol enamel paint.
TD, perhaps in the stage XL you can build another section with a narrow distance in-between, hence the a/c's will not be immediately in a direct view.
Imagine if Jim Thompson would drop by, what he would say you?
Given that you have used aerated style external brick, is it possible to chase those air-con pipes into the wall?
With that compressor unit attached to the top floor, could it have been dropped to the ground floor with longer pipework and
and small loss of efficiency?
Just thoughts, certainly not criticisms. Just in-case I win Lotto and do a full build in Thailand as opposed to Thai style renos
to the Farmhouse
I would tend to agree, in time they will blend in. Thai tradesmen have no idea about aesthetics, they have put the units in the easiest place for installing and future servicing for themselves, personally I would have put them up high so that the piping was minimal and in a straight run into the house, that way they are out of the eye line, they wouldn't do that unless you specifically told them as more difficult to fit and service at later date.
I will be looking closely at it all when I go back this time AP2, because it will be my last 'live' look before he finishes, and we are into snag list time.
The OrBorTor engineer will be having the in-depth look with PJ during the 6-week snag-list time so i am confident that between us we will capture most things - lol not that there will be too many, I think...
You have been fortunate in that you have been able to follow the build closely backed up with photographic evidence, when I was building I spent the majority of the time away working with little contact, on returning home there were quite a few WTF moments! especially with the first house 15 years or so ago, with all the eyes that have been looking at pictures sure that there is going to be no "show stoppers" found when doing final snagging.
Cheers
Mae Daeng, anyone...?
Finally got some pictures from the commencement of the wooden flooring.
We went for the wider boards as they look really good.
Each piece firmly butted up and screwed to those runners set into the floor screed
There is a little colour variation[/B] but the whole floor will be sanded and stained / sealed once complete
