I imagine it's him doing it how he thinks it's right and that the farang is crazy; Why does he want it all crooked!? That's not the way it's done! Do it the way it's always been done, no imagination that it's supposed to look like a wood floor.
Reminds me of my wife's boss a few years ago. When my wife submitted a test for his approval, he told her to do it again so that all the multi-choice options were arranged shortest to longest, because it looks better. Everything is about appearances. Straight and orderly.
The wife of course but shes spoken for, so no...
The models are usually in the 19-25 yr old bracket so whoever gets the job will need to be able to come and handle that age grope professionally.
Probably best not to talk about this side topic anymore because its fcuk-all to do with the building and if i keep it going I will probably have to show few pictures so the prospective employee understands exactly how much oil to apply.......
People want pictures of the sala progress and toilet pipe connection testing, I know....
Bannisters
After some false starts and discussions we have settled on this design, which picks up from the design on the master bedroom balcony.
I would like to see it blended in with a wood colour but the black also looks 'OK'.
work going on...
View from the top with the Buddha room to the right
Looks a long way down.
Just needs the handrail.
Can't see much from the bottom...
Measuring up the handrail
Obviously, the metal detailing is not yet complete
More pix to come once he gets on and finishes the banisters.
Jesus you're gonna regret that design, you can only slide 3 feet. Still in the space for your lift, stick a firemans pole in and enjoy whilst you're still spry enough.
Yeah that doesn't really look like it's quite working, somehow.
Let's see once he's finished everything...
I have faith in Mr. Builder!
I think the access will be OK but we can always swing stuff up via the Sala or even directly onto the zone 2 balcony.
yes, or that, CS...
I will probably have a go at making at least one of the bed frames so that will be taken up in kit form and assembled.
Biggest item might be a sofa? but we are not going to be swapping sofas on a too regular basis so even if i have to get k.pot to lift it with his tele-handler, as a last resort, I think we will be OK.

Lol... meanwhile, back on page 1.....
i'm no expert but judging by a lot of threads, there is a perennial problem with images.
So many build stories are now without images cisco, which is a shame cos they lose some essential detail.
In the light of this, I was advised to use imgur, which I have.
so far its been flawless....
Now.. come on back to page 73...!
TD
The reason a lot of the older threads have no images is because they were using images uploaded from photobucket which when they changed their policy(?) and posters didn't do what they were required to do (pay?) all the images were deleted from photobucket and therefore from the thread.
When I posted images I actually downloaded them to the Teakdoor album first and then posted it from there which means they are still there. Only issue some might have with this is that Teakdoor then has the right to the image.
I just hope a similiar thing does not happen in the future with imgur as losing the photos from this thread would be a catastrophe.
I still go back to my thread to check where things are as I have lost a lot of the original photos through bad computer management and viruses.
Cheers
Well, there we are ootai... i really did not know that and like you, i hope the same does not happen with imgur.
i have all the images i uploaded in a sequence on MY HDD so i suppose i could re-create all those pages if I had to.
I may well summarise the whole thing on my website too, at the end, as i also have nearly 6 hours of video of the construction so that should also get aired at some point.
