Think they have a whites only rule.
I have stayed there twice in the last couple of months. Once in a refurbished room and once in one still to be done. Whilst the refurbished room was very comfortable the other was acceptable as well. On the second trip I used their discount card and the room cost me 850 thb.
The bar is friendly (big bottles of Heineken are 120thb) and the Tom yum goong I had there was excellent. The staff are all very pleasant but check out can be tedious due to the number of people trying to check out at the same time.
Access is good from the airport on the city link train although getting accross the road can be a nightmare. There is a pedestrian bridge a bit further up.
All in all it suits me and I'l stay there again.
Many years ago there was a plan to construct a large, circular mono-rail around Bangkok. You can still see the structures in many places most notably if you are coming into BKK from the old Don Muaeng airport.
Anyhow, the plan failed because some people paid a large sum of money under the table to construct the Nasa Vegas complex. Back then there was also notorious disco across the road from the hotel.
More recently it has become popular with Thais to meet up with their lovers. Ask most Thais in BKK and they will tell you its a sleazy hotel.
Still its a convenient and cheap place to stay for the new airport. Its not too far from Ekkamai and a taxi to downtown areas should cost less than 100 baht depending on traffic.
At a whopping 800 Baht a night, it's a little steep for the Indians anyway. I'm sure that idiot American-Black rap singer who was supposedly denied a room there a few months back was looking for some free publicity.
The best part is....you cannot sue them in Thailand! ha ha ha
I've been looking at this place, and intend to give it a try. The rooms look decent enough for the money, does anyone know if they have car or motorcycle parking? It did not mention it on their website.
mixed reports by sounds of it

in a nice hotel on our first night then something cheaper next 2days

u sure this place is good?
i was looking for an apratment near ram area and have checked the place...
rooms were very small and joint VERY CLOSELY with the next rooms and i can hear tvs and stuff during lunch wh ile i took a visit.
im guessing there are next door roommate wars where each try to dominate each other by turing up their tvs and making noises so that noone is gonna sleep.im takin with u to depression land
Stayed there in 2003 and 2009.
For the cost, it serves its purpose. Clean, comfortable, views from high floors, 24hr bar / restaurant in lobby which is pretty good.
