Yep I really liked it and having that sky train at your feet is brilliant, so quick and easy to get anywhere.

Actually meet a Yank who was living there full time and for 7 grand a month fully serviced it could be considered. Pay the management to paint the friggin room and you'd be laughing.

Certainly true, the lobby was spotless the rooms where clean and the staff where friendly.

The security guys done there job and also always had a smile for the punters.

    Many pluses for this place.

The only downside is the lack of balconies, the view looking up Ramkamhaeng Road is quite urban, and has a quality about it after a beer or ten.

Room looks fine to me given what you're paying. Room and bathroom look clean, the most important aspect for me.

Couldn't help but notice the cum spots on lens. Think you have a few more pics you haven't shared with us.

I like to be in a hotel at that cost in the middle of somewhere more interesting, like near MBK or down Sukumvit etc

however, it being in direct access to the airport is good for an early flight

    Is the train running now?

    ^

The airport link into the city is brilliant.

2 trains running, 1 direct train non stop into Phaya Thai B.T.S. 15 minutes.

2nd train stops at every station into Phaya Thai B.T.S 30 minutes.

Direct train 100 baht and the other train 15 baht.

Next thread I'll do will be the low down on the new Airport rail link.

The Thais take a long time to get there shit together but this new link is a winner as long as your staying in the city.

^I love it. No funny smellin taxi, taking me different routes everytime, thinkin I'm fresh off the boat.
It runs parallel to the expressway at some points overtaking everything
15 baht to get me to Ramkamhaeng, then a 60 baht taxi or motorcy depending on my luggage
It takes you to Phaya Thai for the same price which takes you straight onto the BTS network
Loads of empty seats, luggage areas at the back and front and especially useful if you arrive in BKK at 3pm or on a Friday or Saturday
One word of warning-The taxi drivers hate it when they see you with your suitcase like some cheap charlie leaving Ramkamhaeng
I should imagine especially so if your an even cheaper bstard and stay in this hotel
So watch out for Somchai in the yellow and green taxi when crossing that road(pictured)

All the amenities worked flawlessly and the water was hot and strong which was a bonus. Sat TV was good, fridge cranked and nice big bed plus fully serviced everyday by friendly smiling staff. A/C was spot on also. The good vibe in this hotel more than made up for the 5 year olds that painted and furnished the rooms.

it's a fucking dump, and why stay there when you could be in KSR or even lower Sukhumvit for the same price

why not go all the way to their airport for a cheap hotel

Totally agree. what a hole. From the outside it looks all right, but inside it looks like shit. I guess if you grew up in a trailer park this might be livin'.

I never could understand wasting a lot of money on a hotel room, especially when I travel alone or with a rented companion. It looks perfectly adequate and the price is hard to beat.
    Thanks for an interesting post.

Over the Khlong Tan intersection on Sukhumvit 71 itself (Soi Pridi 45) there's an apartment block (PP House) on the corner that charges 700thb a night for a studio room and it's far better looking than that. it has a rooftop pool and garden. Further along that soi 45 past the Family Mart there is a short time hotel which is about 350thb per night, DVD rental not included.

^The City Line starts from the Phraya Thai Airport Link station. leaves every 15 minutes, stops at all eight SARL stations along the way to the airport and makes the journey in 30 minutes.
The Express Line leaves from the main Makkasan SARL station and travels directly to Suvarnabhumi Airport,

a taxi ride to that location would take 30min and cost about 220 THB including the 50THB fee

taking the Airport train will take 30min and then you have to take another 15min to get from the station to the hotel as there is no close stop, despite the hotel being next to the maintenance depot of the airport train, cost total would be around 150 THB

so the whole thing saves you 100 THB ??? for fuck sake, this is one of the worst deal ever !!!

I think that the great thing about this place is for a quick visit to bangers its close and convienient.

If your coming on an extended holiday you'd go stay in the middle of the action.

I mean its not hard to work out is it, this hotel has its purpose and is not for everybody .

Sounds great, trouble being the average punter would have no idea how to get there.

    Hows the public transport. ?

I think Butters is responding to Tuddies post about the Gaff he recommended but just a quick word on the traffic situation around The Nasa.

Its a friggin dogs breakfast and getting anywhere via the road is an absolute shit fight.

I had to go to immigration from the Nasa and the only option was taxi.

Foking hell, what a lot of bolliks that turned out to be, traffic jams everywhere until one hit the freeway.

Nearly 60 minutes and 300 friggin baht later I rock up and it was the same story getting back.

If the Airport link did not stop on the door step one would never stay here as the traffic situation is madness.

On the up story there is a klong stop within walking distance so suppose that's another option of getting around.

Urm, you can bash the motorbike taxi's up your back bottom mate one needs to be on crack to give them a go and why the fok would one want to catch a death machine to Thong Lor when one can catch the BTS outside the Nasa ?

OK Butters come clean matey, you got a Katoey on the go over there aint ya.

Hope its not one of DD regulars or he will be pissed.
