Taxi return trip Bangkok -Kanchanburi

A friend intends to travel straight from Suvarnabhumi to Kanchanaburi returning 2 days later. Can anyone recommend a taxi firm who can oblige and a rough price.

I can help you out with that, I have a Taxi driver who is our family friend for over 8 years now. He has many expat clients because he is 100% trustworthy. I just spoke with him and his price is 1800 Baht each way. His number is Mr. Weerasat (Wee) 089-238-1918. You can contact him for more details, he has an Isuzu SUV so plenty of space.

I'd concur with that, I've paid 1500 to Kanchan but I had to pay the petrol also.

I agree, but 1000 is still better! That was from Sukhumvit Soi 4 to kanchanaburi (flagged it in the street), 1800 from BKK - Hua Hin from the taxi rank at BKK train station. Both had LPG conversions.

The driver may have lived there. If you are going alone bargain a bit. But for more than one the comfort and recommendation make the deal offered by Weerasak fine.

You must remember he has no fare back.

I pay 1000 for a flagged taxi to pattaya, I do not know how you found one to Kanchan for that, except as AO suggested was if he lived there.
