The Wild Country staff moved to B-52's.

Any idea if that place is going to suffer a reincarnation? I quite liked it.

Kurt was mentioned a few posts back.

He sadly passed away a few weeks back. He was as much apart of the square as all the old bars.

Wondered why Kurt had not been updating his web site now i know.R.I.P.
Was hoping to meet up with him next week,will have a quite beer in Denny's to show my respects.

The Square was a great place that drew some very entertaining characters, including Kurt over the years and may he RIP.

I also expect that Taffy will be the last man standing, or kicking and screaming more like it the day they kick him out.

^ yes, exactly, with Emporium II opening just across the road... you have to wonder, is it possible for an area to reach saturation point for shopping malls? There must be only so many customers and so much spending money to go around, surely...?

Yes. It has already.
I suggest a complete restoration of all the bars, massage parlors and ladyboy shows. Rename it Mongers Square then have it declared a UN World Heritage Site. Sure to draw more tourists than the temple Thais and Cambodians are killing each other over.
