If only live streaming was a thing in my heyday. The proliferation of smartphones and cheap data never happened yet. I still did mount a camera on a motorcycle and uploaded clips to YouTube. I was ahead of the times

Just a bit of advice. Some of the more successful travel YT presenters do research about the places they go. Not all, as some get by on the force of their personality. Some zero in on a particular aspect such as cuisine or maybe international air travel. I guess it's about finding your niche. In your video all I see are two people having a bit of a bargain holiday, which is fine posting up for friends and family on FB. I'm not learning much new from your video. It's like going to Argentina and saying, "Look guys! I am eating an enormous steak. Afterwards we're going to a tango show." Nice, but it's been done a bazillion times.

YouTube can be a tough place to break through the clutter. How can you bring eyeballs to your page? Find your niche. Nice Young Couple Has Pad Thai in Bangkok isn't groundbreaking nor of interest to many people who don't know you.

Anyways, I wish you good luck.
    pues, estamos aqui

Maybe dare to be different ...

I'm sure we can all put our heads together and think up some alternative titles and content that will make them go viral.

I'll kick off with a few...

I smashed a Patong jetski and got away with it.

We interviewed locals on Koh Tao murder Island and survived

We had a meal with Bangkok Pat and did a runner

    Over to you

thailand has been done to death, first by lonely planet and the full moon craze, and now by the you tube copycats.

if you want to see some excellent you tube travel stuff, then follow some of the thai travel bloggers as they travel around burma, bangladesh, russia and south america. they are real travellers, reminiscent of the western hippies of the 1960s. first timers and not following a well documented trail as they hit the road in india and afghanistan. free of guidebooks and translator apps unlike todays tourists, they had to connect with the locals in a much more meaningful way.

the thai blogs i have watched are much the same, some have subtitles but most dont, but feature single travellers, both male and female, often way out of their comfort zones as they encounter less than welcoming faces, but all the better for it.

    Here are some observations.

1 - 1:12 "We found this fish ball noodle place" It's a fish ball noodle stall that sells fish ball noodles. The viewers are probably thinking you would order fish ball noodles instead of asking for a menu and recommendations. Who was surprised when in the end you got fish ball noodles?

2 - 2:34 "It smells nice" and "They look like hotel beds" Great review of the room.

3 - 3:33-3:39 You said the word "cool" in 3 separate sentences. That's a "cool" every 2 seconds.

    4 - 3:52 You said "cool" again.

    ...I gave up here.

    --EDIT--

Thought I would be fair and give you a chance, but you said "cool" again at 3:57.

He does a great job covering Russia and former Soviet republics (mostly because he is fluent in Russian and provides good background stories). He also has had some interesting adventures in India. However, his Latin American trips were pretty bad and his trip to East Africa was pants as well.

My Youtube travel vlogging career. The customs officers asked wtf this gizmo i had was. It was something to mount a camera with. I bet every other wanker and their dog has one now. It didn't work that good. 13 year old technology now

I've been watching an American vlogger who seems to make a point of learning to speak the lingo in whatever country he's in.really gets out and mingles with the locals and seems genuinely interested to learn about there cultures. Pretty interesting dude. Channel's called Sabbatical

Never expect the Spanish Inquisition? You mistaken thought that people would fawn over your video of a new and exotic place. When to most, if not all, on here it is neither new nor exotic anymore.
So they judged the presentation rather than the content.

I very much doubt that on this site you received any courteous or kind messages. That would be a different forum. This is a reality forum, tinged with a bit of cynicism

Well, I only watched it until the fish balls moment, and must say I think previous posters are doing this vlogger a disservice.

The unintentional humour is a good laugh, and the fishballs for lunch were thoroughly deserved.

I quit there, as surely that moment couldn't be equalled.

Yeah watched a few of his videos, very good.

His niche and popularity is down to his ability to learn the local language quickly, especially in countries off the beaten track.
