My wife loves a smear of Vegemite on toast and then lots of avocado on top. She'd tried neither till she came to Oz.
This is a real photo of a dingo eating a shark while two snakes mate.
ONLY in Australia.
At a guess, the shark was the victim of another shark and then got washed up.
^Wow.
^^ Good one.
BTW, isn't that small purple patch surrounding Sydney, in truth ... New New Zealand.
There and the Gold Coast (apparently)
A Perth father who stabbed his son to death before watching the AFL grand final with friends has been sentenced to
life in jail with a minimum of 18 years.
Ernest Fisher's two children, who he left to dispose of their brother's body, have also been jailed over the murder at the family's suburban home.
The 67-year-old Mr Fisher fatally stabbed his 23-year-old son Matthew Fisher-Turner in October 2016 following what he claimed was a series of physical assaults.
He then went to a friend's house to watch the AFL grand final, leaving his children Joshua and Hannah Fisher-Turner to bury the body in the backyard and clean up the crime scene in Joshua's bedroom.
Matthew's body was not discovered until four weeks later after his friends, who had repeatedly quizzed Mr Fisher about his son's whereabouts, reported him missing to police.
Fisher admitted stabbing his son but claimed he acted in defence of himself and his children.
^ What is the Australian word for redneck?
(Ahem)...Bogon is a TD member, and he's a funny bloke.
Bogan (/ˈboʊɡən/ BOHG-ən[1]) is Australian slang for a person whose speech, clothing, attitude and behaviour are considered unrefined or unsophisticated

I totally disagree. The Bogans have a uniquely "developed" cultural mentality of their own. Any aboriginal will confirm the fact,.... that "Bogons"
were the indigenous British stool culture, dumped upon the island continent....following England's (18-19th Century) social bowel movements.
The remaining (redneck) portion, commonly called "Crackers", were shipped-off to North America,...for the Native Americans and Africans...to contend with!...Sigh...
Holy heck ! Are you a darkie, Ben ?
Quite honestly, I wish my skin were darker....I wouldn't get sunburnt nearly so easily.
Well, I am not racially prejudiced against Africans. And brown skin is superior to white in the tropics and even sub-tropics...
Did he object to it in a different thread ? I hadn't noticed.
Oh well...I don't know the exact reality of what that term evokes in the States. It's a pretty loaded term. Much like "Abo" here in Oz, or "Wog". I know a few Greek people who refer to themselves as Wogs sometimes, in a self-deprecating way, and it's funny. But I wouldn't think of calling a Greek person a wog....unless I knew them really well.
BTW, you're Melanesian, aren't you Maanaam ? A bit fuzzy ? Or half-half ? Or Caucasian from that area ?
Regarding Maanaam's upcoming (post #0) comment, he previously stated that he avoids contact with "Ben", as a measure of keeping his own sanity intact.
LD, I'm certain you're astute enough, to decipher the contradictory pathology...associated with that pretentious (as usual) Maanaam claim, eh?...
Road melts.
Never mind the fact that the Main east cost Highway is actually called 'Bruce', but it's melting.

MPs' offices inundated with requests for free portraits of Queen Elizabeth II
Melbourne MP Tim Watts says his office has received dozens of "tongue in cheek" requests for free portraits of Queen Elizabeth in the last 24 hours, but he is firing back with some "nationhood material" of his own.
Key points:
Constituents are able to ask their federal MP for "nationhood material"
This includes flags, the national anthem and images of the Queen and Prince Philip
Labor MP Tim Watts will send Melbourne West-related material along with the requests

Mr Watts said the requests came flooding in after a report by Vice Media that highlighted the little-known "constituents' request program" which allows for voters to receive free "nationhood material" including flags, recordings of the national anthem and images of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, just by asking their federal member.
Speaking to the ABC's Radio National Drive program, the Labor MP said most of the inquiries from his constituents in Gellibrand had been made jokingly.
"I can say before the story was published, I had received zero requests for portraits of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth," he said.
