One of my favourite drummers and this is what I am trying to practice for the next few days!
Jeff Porcaro died when he was just 38 and what a loss to the music industry.
For those that think drummers are brain dead "hangers on" listen to this and watch what he is doing with both his hands and feet.

You must be popular with the neighbours.Quote:

Not near as nice as a standard drum kit both to play and sound wise but a lot of fun still the same with the neighbours being spared daily grief.
I've been playing a good bit of Guitar Hero lately myself :mid:... comes with a surprisingly okay electro drum kit. Pretty fun for me to goof around on as it takes just a bit more skill than mashing the buttons down on the guitar or bass. I generally stick to a guitar in real life anyway but I'd love to pick up the drums.
^ I find it very relaxing and quite invigorating to have a bash on my drums every now and then.
And yes the sound you can achieve from the drums is very impressive but the cymbals are shite particularly the high hat.
I have been thinking about incorporating the electronic drums with percussion/accoustic cymbals and high hat but then I would be defeating the purpose of keeping everything decibel friendly.

Je fais souvent ce rêve étrange et pénétrant
D'une femme inconnue, et que j'aime, et qui m'aime,
Et qui n'est, chaque fois, ni tout à fait la même
Ni tout à fait une autre, et m'aime et me comprend.
Funny, I learned this poem more than 30 years ago and I still remember it.
You're right, different league ...
Sat on my terrace at the back of the house, tapping on the laptop, listening to Sky News from the UK on the TV, all the moaning about the weather and traffic chaos. Will take the dogs to the beach shortly for a swim, then have some lunch and a few white wines whilst listening to the copy of Jason Mraz's 'We sing, we dance' CD, a copy of which I gave the beach bar owners a few weeks ago.
:smileylaughing:I'm listening to the "sounds of silence"...Paul and Art just dropped by.
It's Christmas so I'm watching/listening to Aladdin, a panto.

A little number from the lounge lizard and his band.
It still amazes me why The Doors never used a bass player!

Listening to the bladdy little box that came with the Christmas tree the missus bought. Jingle Bells repeated over and over and over.....!
My brain hurts.
Time to put the box to sleep.
