Jules et Jim 1962
Watching Woody Allen's string of auteur references in Rifkins Festival prompted me to dig out this early French New Wave work from François Truffaut
Good fun watching the early exploration of signature French femme fatale capriciousness and what must have been quite controversial subversion of relationship norms for the big screen in 1962.
The film is now older itself than its setting, around the 1st world war, was at the time of its release.
