    Top car chase movie clips

    So many white knuckle car chase scenes out there in movie land.

    What's your fav scene from a movie?

    Here's a couple of my top two...

    Thunder Road

    Robert Mitchum was a handsome young man, too.

    This chase scene from one of my all time favorite movies.

    A few Peugeots getting wrecked in that one.

    My own car is a Mitsubishi Magna station wagon....a real family car, even though it is a V6.

    A friend took me somewhere recently in his Peugeot 406 V6 (same as De Niro was driving in that chase) and when he put his foot down, the suddenness of acceleration was frightening. The front fairly leaped up ! It also cornered flat....no body roll at all. Which is a little unsettling as a passenger if you're not used to it.

    If I wanted to do a robbery, that would be my car of choice.

    Have you tried to use the hand-brake like was done by De Niro in the clip ?

    It set the bar. Car driven by McQueen as well as the streets of San Francisco.

    About half of it here.

    There was another,, Sean Connery being let out off a life sentence to find
    a way into Alcatraz which only he knows as he broke out earlier in his life.
    He's only released 5 minute and he makes another escape. Then the car chase
    in someones prized Humvie.

    I must have missed the car chase in that movie.

    The whole movie was based on Alacatraz island.

    Got any links?

    I've heard of mixed metaphors but mixed quotes are a new one on me.

    ^ Forgot about that one! Didn't it hold the record for the most police cars destroyed in a movie at the time?

    The best car chase bar none;

    The fact that this movie was not posted first is a crime.

    This whole movie is a car chase;
