Thread: The Barberettes

The Barberettes, is a South Korean retro, doo-wop female trio, which debuted in 2012, and is based in Seoul. With their covers and original music, they reproduce the sound of the 50s-60s music and are referred to as a time slip girl group who travel back to the times of barbershop music, harmonizing girl groups. The group is composed of Shinae An Wheeler, Eun Hye Kim and So Hee Park

Slightly different to the Ronettes version, both enjoyable and certainly nice to see Asian music culture delving into the history musicology bank.

Pah. The Japanese have been doing this retro stuff with all-girly bands for ages.
