He also was famous for writing crazy ass kids books.

Shel was also famous for writing many short stories, poems and articles for Playboy magazine.I too am a big fan of Dr Hook, having seen them 7 times live and got too meet Ray and Dennis.

I'd give my left nipple to see them live as an outfit. I've see Dennis solo a couple of times over the years and he's still as cool and funny as fuck. I was too young to see them as a band but I've grown up listening to them.

Anak, i know means son but the rest of his song is meshed with cocks crowing and just a brilliant sound, i still play this song today 30 yrs. on, it hasn't aged.

Tod Rungren was considered the new messiah songwriter when he hit the music scene and he wrote some great songs.

Another bloke who wrote some great music is actually accompanying Rungren singing one of his early hits.

Helge, - You Cant Always Get What You Want but if you go Down By The River then you just may get what you need.
So much brilliant music by so many but it's nice to enjoy the moment.
That album by Springsteen is right up there - 30 years ago and still sounds superb.
Got a job working construction in a Johnstown company but lately there aint been much work of the economy......

    not many women so far
    so I'll introduce

    Alanis Morissette

recommend getting your heart trampled on to anyone
I recommend walking around naked in your living room

Swallow it down (what a jagged little pill)

It feels so good (swimming in your stomach)

    Wait until the dust settles

lovely lyrics there, and here too

how bout getting off these antibiotics
how bout stopping eating when I'm full up

how bout them transparent dangling carrots

how bout that ever elusive kudos

^^ Lovely voice. Got a lot of stick for writing a song called 'Ironic' all about irony whilst clearly not having a clue what irony was.

"Isn't it ironic, don't you think....." No I fecking don't!!!

Jagged Little Pill was one of my favourite albums of the 90's.

This song was great with Flea on bass on the studio version.

    Tom Morello from RATM.
    The Night Watchman.
Best guitar solo ever was when he guested with Bruce Springstten on ' The Ghost Tom Joad'.
Morello must be up with the best ever solo guitarists.

Could some kind poster stick this song into our machine ?
Helge, i gather you like both these artists but together this one powerful song the guitar solo by Tom Morello needs to be seen to be believed.
If i am intrusive to you the i stand corrective but i think many folk would love to enjoy this genius at work.
I cannot cut and paste. total computer dummy i am.

Getting fucked and getting naked was a regular occurrence I believe.

This time it was on Shel Silversteins houseboat. Absolutely trollied.
