I knew this guy from little league and Babe Ruth baseball. One of the best guitarists of all time and can play any freaking thing.
Mid here’s one of my favorite songs by Landreth (Blue Tarp Blues). Blue tarps are what you see (flying over) in an area hit by a hurricane (for those that do not know). Home owners will use these temporary blue tarps to protect their homes (stopping rain from getting into a battered leaky roof).
Song was written after Katrina hit New Orleans.
Another station I’ll listen to to hear the Blues online when I’m away from the US: SiriusXM Radio
But you have to pay a yearly subscription to login.

Tonight we attended a great show here in New York featuring Sonny Landreth (promoting his newest album, Elemental Journey Sonny Landreth - Official Site - Music) at BB Kings Blues Club & Grill.
Another young one,....Matthew Curry (matthewcurry.com - Home). I was listening to an interview and he just entered his senior high school year, this month.
If he stays grounded and focused he could be another great blues legend one day.
A partial review from his album that was recently released:
Matthew Curry isn’t old enough to buy a beer at the corner store, and he probably only has a learner’s permit for driving, but he’s obviously obsessed and infatuated with the blues! There’s no question that the 16-year-old electric lead guitarist, singer, and songwriter has some chops. At age eleven, a veteran blues musician gave him the nickname of Little Big Man. It’s great when veteran musicians take a young prodigy under their wings to show him the ropes and tricks of the trade.
