Morning of the Earth : 40 yrs ago

Uploaded by ChuggEntertainmentTV on 27 Aug 2008

A treasured Australian icon, Morning of the Earth captured the spirit of a generation of surfers on release in 1972. Directed by Albert Falzon, also the founder of Tracks surfing magazine, it portrays famous and unknown surfers alike (including Nat Young and Gerry Lopez) living in spiritual harmony with nature, making their own boards (and even their own homes) as they traveled in search of the perfect wave across Australia's north east coast, Bali and Hawaii. Since then, the film and music has resonated with each new generation, having captured the true ethos and spirit of surfing in a unique and inspiring manner.

    New G. Wayne Thomas website!
    G. Wayne Thomas

A fellow "youtuber" has been busy as a bee.
As requested I have placed this up in good faith that you will really enjoy this clip and then go and pick yourself up a digitally remastered DVD of this movie.

This website I have found to be the best for information about this movie, Albert, the music and the surf.
    Morning Of The Earth

Here is a stolen paragraph from the website about Thomas and this song.

"G. Wayne Thomas is one of the first of a new wave of record producers in Australia. He is a producer, songwriter, musician and performer. Wayne, originally from New Zealand"

There will be no more clips from me about this movie, sorry.
As I have mentioned before this movie is certainly worth it's purchase price.

    G. Wayne Thomas - Morning Of the Earth Lyrics

    The forces of the universe
    And the elements of space
    Conjured up your being
You're size, your time, you're shape
    You were created
With all the beau-eauty they could call
    And earth, you surely are
    The measure of them all
    (Hal-le-lu-jah, hal-le-lu-jah)

You're rocks all turned to gold (Hal-le-lu-jah)
And you're ti-iny stones to jewels
    And when you're swirlin' (Hal-le-lu-jah)
It's that clear you stood so pure
    And placed so carefully (Hal-le-lu-jah)
    Each and everything that belonged
    Earth you were magnificent (Hal-le-lu-jah)
Through the pain of bein' born
    (Hal-le-lu-jah, hal-le-lu-jah)

It was the morning of the ear-ear-ear-earth (Hal-le-lu-jah)
It was the morning of the ear-ear-ear-earth (Hal-le-lu-jah)
    (Hal-le-lu-jah, hal-le-lu-jah)

It was the morning of the ear-ear-ear-earth
    From the tallest mountain
To the smallest drop of rain
    Each and everything created
    Was of the new world

It was the morning of the ear-ear-ear-earth (Hal-le-lu-jah)
It was the morning of the ear-ear-ear-earth (Hal-le-lu-jah)
It was the morning of the ear-ear-ear-earth (Hal-le-lu-jah)
It was the morning of the ear-ear-ear-earth (Hal-le-lu-jah)
    **Chartstoppers version ends here
It was the morning of the ear-ear-ear-earth (Hal-le-lu-jah)
It was the morning of the ear-ear-ear-earth (Hal-le-lu-jah)
