    Christians burned alive in Pakistan

Six Christians were burned alive in Pakistan yesterday when hundred of Muslims attacked ,and looted, their homes, sparked by rumours that pages from the Qur'an had been desecrated. The dead included four women and a child in the Punjab village of Gojra. The Minister for Minorities said he asked the police to provide protection for Christians, but accused them of ignoring him.Pakistan is a mainly Muslim nation, but minorities account for about 4% of the 170 million population. http:guardian.co.uk/2009/aug/02/christians-burned-alive-pakistan

Well at least it proves they weren't witches.

Always a tragedy to see humans killing others over bloody religion.
Should shoot the lot of em.

Why don't they try attacking Christian men instead of their women & children.

Then they'd feel what a Christian knuckle sandwich feels like. Christianity does not simply mean lying down & accepting this kind of thing. Peaceful means by all means, but self-defense is totally in order.

Where did the world get off thinking all Christians are weaklings, just because they choose to turn the other cheek first?

Too bad that idiot from the other post, the one who prayed but refused to call a doctor while his daughter died was not one of them. If they were going to burn me, I would join any religion they wanted. Martyrdom is so out of style.

    Man's inhumanity to man.

It's terrifying what humans are capable of.

Be thankful for the lives we lead.

Our conflicts are on a web forum and the worst we get is being savaged by a proverbial poodle.

Bit harsh, a good beating and deportation would suffice.

Unfortunately that doesn't work, wherever a particular religion has been banned there are always some people determined to practice it, usually in some perverse aim for martydom. Governments ban things they deem as a threat to them, banning religion is about as successful as banning drugs (and for similar reasons).

Some people need an emotional crutch it seems. Education is the key to eliminating the pox that the Abrahamic religions are on human development.

Religion needs to be kept out of policy making, out of schools and committing crimes in the name of religion needs to be given an especially serious punishment. Proselytizing should be illegal and churches, mosques, synagogues and temples should be taxed heavily.

Or, we could wipe out 97% of the world's population and start again from test tubes.

Religion is just something that most people need to believe in. No one wants it all to end when they die. Eternal life is the carrot all religions dangle, and its just too good an offer to pass up for most people.

If you read the OP you will see that the trouble, as usual is about the koran, but you knew that didn't you.

Don't quote me as representing America and Britain thank-you. My discriminations are my own.

They get enough beatings as it is. I think we should treat Muslims, the way Christians get treated in Saudi.
