I think the wearing of the full face veil should be subject to a public vote - hot or not.

I think every man has the RIGHT to dress up his women the way he wants to.

Why are you pussies so scared of women who decide they want to cover up?

But it's ok by you to objectify women and see them as a life support system for a vagina that also cooks and cleans.
As long as you don't dictate what they wear.

The guy on the left is demonstrating plenty of reasons why arabs should be prevented from donning western garb, while the woman is obviously smiling and presumably enjoying her day out.

So it seems that what different people see is...different.

Hijabs for germans might not be a bad idea, but wouldn't resolve the socks and sandals crisis.

But you're the one who wants to use the full force of the law to coerce women into dressing a certain way. Those women already have the legal right to dress any way they want. If they're forced to dress that way they have the legal right to complain.

You want to take away those rights by replacing the overbearing husband or father (who may or may not exist) forcing the woman to dress a certain way with an overbearing state, which most certainly does exist, forcing the woman to dress a certain way.

Surely if it's wrong for a man to force a woman to dress a certain way it's far more wrong for the state to force millions of women to dress a certain way?

Did it ever occur to you in your new-found concern for the rights of women to ask the women what THEY want? My guess would be that what they'd like most would be for you to take your fake sympathy and push off and leave them to make their own decisions.

Refugee women fleeing Isis set fire to burqas in show of freedom.

'Hana' told how she had shown her face outside for the first time in two years

Women fleeing Isis have set fire to their black clothes and hung them up on the fencing of a refugee camp in a show of defiance and freedom.

Dozens, after escaping the under-siege Daesh stronghold of Mosul, in Iraq have reportedly pinned burqas and niqabs on the barbed wire perimeter surrounding Khazar refugee camp in Hasan Sham village.

The women, now wearing their more colourful clothes for the first time in two years, have spoken of their relief.

and push off and leave them to make their own decisions.
if a women in pakistan or afghanistan made a decision to take off her burqa then in all probability she would receive a bucket of sulphuric acid in the face, possibly she might be doused in kerosene and set alight, at the very least she would be publicly beaten and whipped.

in islam countries it is worn because they have no choice, it is a result of oppression by the male.

in western countries it is mostly worn to show off and provoke a reaction.

OK so here's an unshielded one: you don't know what the f^ck you're talking about and it's utterly preposterous to suggest women in western countries generally wear the hijab to 'provoke a reaction'.

    You absurd twat.

A valid point and once which should be brought up when discussing Muslim countries. Germany, however, despite the paranoid fantasies of some of our more febrile members, is not yet a Muslim country.

Nonsense. No doubt you also believe that women who wear short skirts are just "asking for it", eh?

The German state of Bavaria has announced plans to ban the full-face veil in government workplaces, schools, universities and while driving.
Just to put the looney rantings of tax and his ilk to one side for a moment, the above is of course pragmatic, fair and sensible in a largely secular/christian western country.

thats not the reaction the wearing of a burqa is intended to produce, unless its some grizzly old imam looking for his 5th bride.

Wearing a burqa and a mini skirt are intended to produce different reactions then?

The argument gets down to do the citizens have a right to have a say in the type of people that should be allowed into their country and do they have a right to only allow people from cultures who share the same values and principles that will allow them to fully integrate into their new society.
Others may argue that people do not have a right to discriminate on who can be allowed into their country based on ethnicity religion culture etc.
I believe people do have a basic right to say who should be allowed into their country and in what quantities. Many of these problems have been caused by politicians who have forgotten there there to carry out the will of the people not their own agendas. Hence the rise of Trump Wilders LePen etc. Open Door immigration policies have not only been endorsed by left wing governments but also aided and abetted by right wing governments financed by big business in the never ending quest for productivity improvement and lower wages.
The belief that more people are needed to pay for the old means that as migrants age more are needed to pay for them. The capitalist model of never ending growth must change or eventually collapse. The lefts concept of equality for all has controlled the Agenda by pillorying people whom realise the flaws in the model with isms and phobia and other terms to silence others who disagree with their free for all approach. In a perfect world this might work but planet earth is a long way from that.
    So endeth the rant.
