A far-right French historian has killed himself at the altar of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris after declaring that more radical action was needed in opposition to same-sex marriage in France.

Dominique Venner, 78, walked into the building at 4pm and put a letter on the altar before shooting himself through the mouth, according to local media reports. Hundreds of visitors were immediately evacuated from the site, which is the most visited Catholic monument in Paris.

Good - the more of these bigots that top themselves the better.

I don't give a damn what they can do by way of partnership contract but I do not believe that a homosexual home, male or female, is the right place fora child to grow up or visit.

Another issue I have is that anyone who dares to point even the mildest of a finger of disagreement in their direction is immediately labelled by homosexuals as 'a bigot' and 'a homophobe'. Boys and girls, if you really want quiet acceptance from normal people, just tone down the screeching complaints. You've come a long way since the days when coppers in The UK would strip you and blow on your knotted ballon to see whether it opened for them. Be glad for what you've got and move on quietly.

Nigel Farage: I won't expel members who call gay sex 'disgusting'


Nigel Farage, the leader of the UK Independence Party, has said he would not expel members for voicing "old-fashioned" views about homosexuality, including those who describe it as “disgusting”.

Nigel Farage has accused the Government of "picking a war with middle England" over gay marriage.

He was responding to reports of a Ukip online forum in which one of the party's candidates allegedly used the word to describe gay sex and said that homosexuals were not "normal".

Mr Farage said that racist comments allegedly made by a Ukip councillor were "over the top" and would be discussed by the party's national executive in two weeks' time.

But he held back from criticising remarks allegedly made by another Ukip council candidate, who was reported by the Sunday Mirror to have used an online forum to say that gay sex was "disgusting" and that "what irritates me is the way they and their leftie, neo-Commie followers seem to want to force the rest of us to consider them as normal."

Mr Farage told BBC Radio 2's Jeremy Vine Show: "That is an old-fashioned view that you would hear in private bridge clubs and golf clubs and probably British Legion clubs up and down the length and breadth of the country.

"If you are suggesting that we should become so politically correct that we should kick out anyone who holds a slightly old-fashioned view, frankly that would be the death of debate in politics in Britain."

He accused the Government of "picking a war with middle England" over gay marriage but said that his fellow Ukip MEP Roger Helmer had gone "too far" by drawing a link between gay marriage and incest.

He added: "The point he was making is if we change the definition of marriage, nobody knows where it will end up.

"We are about to redefine marriage - something that has been a fundamental staple of our society for very many centuries.

"The 1950s world where homosexuals could be sent to prison has ended. We now have civil partnerships.

"What the Government is now doing is picking a war with middle England on something that wasn't in their manifesto and frankly there isn't much demand for."
Mr Farage confirmed that the next meeting of Ukip's national executive would discuss alleged racist comments by the party's East Midlands chairman and Lincoln councillor Chris Pain.

Mr Pain is reported to have branded illegal immigrants "sandal-wearing, bomb-making, camel-riding, goat-f******, ragheads" on his Facebook page, though he has claimed that his account was hacked and he did not make the comments in question.

Mr Farage said: "That behaviour is over the top and in that particular case we will have a hearing about that individual at our next national executive meeting in two weeks' time."

But he added: "If you wanted to, you could pick somebody from all four parties that will have said things that have embarrassed them.

"The disease of social media is that people on Facebook and Twitter - particularly after dinner - say things that in many cases they regret afterwards.

"We had 1,740 candidates that stood for us in the English local elections and a handful of them have caused us an embarrassment.

"Really, in percentage terms, the number is very small."

Despite his run-in with nationalist protesters in Edinburgh last week, Mr Farage confidently predicted that "Ukip will become a player in Scotland and will win a seat in the European Parliament in Scotland next year".

farrage is a wonderful shit stirrer, who speaks for many in the uk who feel they have no voice at all. so long as he is outside pissing in he serves a useful function in relaying to the government and the opposition the feelings of many, but if he was inside pissing out, the uk would be a frightful place.

Can this imbecile expel members singlehandedly? And could someone tell him that homophobe and racist are quite different? Like all right-wingers not motivated by religion, he should embrace the queers since they tend to vote right in their majority.
