Fearless Samuel Williams was filmed on CCTV shooting the two thieves during the harrowing stick-up.
The masked pair burst into the Palms Internet Cafe in Ocala, Florida, waving a gun and baseball bat in the air.
Witnesses said they ordered the 30 patrons to get down on the floor and hand over their money.
But while the criminals turned their backs, Samuel — dressed all in white — sneaked out from his desk, pulled out a gun and launched his daring attack.
The shocked thugs dashed to the exit, falling over each other as Samuel chased them out of the cafe.
Once they had fled, he bolted the door and waited for cops to arrive.

Hero Samuel told officers he was scared the robbers would hurt someone, especially his wife who was sitting near him.
Police later arrested Davis G Dawkins, 19, and Duwayne Henderson, 19, who had received gunshot wounds to the left arm, left buttock and right hip.
Dawkins told officials he had recently been an employee at the cafe but was fired, allegedly telling his friend Henderson that there was “a lot of money there".

Samuel is not expected to be charged.
Witness Mary Beach said: “If he wouldn’t have been there, there could have been some innocent people shot.
“I think he is wonderful.”
Speaking from jail, Henderson said the pair had not planned to hurt anyone during the robbery.
He said: “The gun was broken and rusty and wasn't loaded. Nobody was going to get hurt."
