Question Where can I buy train tickets?

Or do I have to go all the way to Whore Lump Pong station a few days before I depart, just to secure the tickets?

Yes I have tried the Thai Railway website and no sign of any kind of pay online service which I wouldn't want to do anyway in such a corrupt country.

If you don't believe me you can see for yourself:

    STATE RAILWAY OF THAILAND

Hope you're all well and I look forward to your replies,

    S

That's very kind of you... I'm pretty well thanks. Hope your the same..aprt from of course your frustrations at the inept country that we currently reside in..

    Right here's the top answer...

If you go to your local station (if you have one) you can purchase tickets there to leave Hualumpong etc.
(Bang Sue for me is a better departure point...far less crowded as well..)

    Hope that helped ya matey.

I was trying to prompt a 'ranty' post from Scamps about how he called them and talked bollocks with them for a bit. I'm sure it would have been amusing.

I like having things done for me, and they like to be told what to do - I think this is a good option.

Any travel agent will do this, best to do at least the day before you want the ticket(s).
