Missing LOS after leaving /taking a sabbatical?

This thread is directed at you long stay (not long time Dirty Dog ) fellas out there -

As I go to meetings and go about my duties of running the company I work for, I find myself missing certain things about Thailand. The laid back sabai sabai attitude, the fun, the 2 hour massages, the variety of food and many other things.

Have you left or ever left the LOS for an extended period and did you miss it?

What did you miss? What were your feelings? Did it have any bearing on your decision to return? Any other comments?

Mrs. Chi says she does not miss it. How did your wife or gf feel and did it change with time?

I don't miss it at all. I left Thailand in 2006, go back 3 or 4 times a year for a week each time.

If the family wasn't there then I wouldn't bother going back at all.

    Are you coming back?

If so, when are you returning to Thailand?

It depends. If you have to return to your own country and put your nose to the grindstone again , then its easy to miss the lazy days in Thailand when you could get up any time you wanted and do whatever took your fancy.

On the other hand , if you're back in your own country with plenty of wedge and weed and you don't have to go to work, it aint so bad
