Interesting concept, but I get the impression that they are looking for first or second timers to Thailand, immune to the cynicism of nearly a decade of expatriated observation and fact who are going to be fawning on about how wonderful the country is in a vain attempt to give tourism a boost and like a bike pump push attached to a dingy with a hole in it.
Don't get me wrong, I do have a strong affection for Thailand and it's a nice place to live if you let it be a nice place to live, but if my 'audition' video has to compete with these innocent backpacker couplets then I doubt I stand much chance. I will think of a suitable video to upload or think of somebody to hook up with for an 'audition' - we'll see.
They are likely to be gushing all the old cliches about how wonderful the place is and in the process end up totally unconvincing.Originally Posted by The Gentleman Scamp

So true, you can't beat honesty - Thailand should just accept that although it has some pretty good resorts, sunny weather and interesting food, scenery and culture it is also a great place to get drunk with like minded people from back home and meet pretty girls and sleep with prostitutes - how diverse is that?Originally Posted by Thetyim
I can guarantee they have would have nothing to lose.
Pimp yourself a bit Scampy and don't let your cynism shine thru, $10.000 in cash is not to spit on.
They expect the applicants to be amateur videographers so for gods sake don't tell them that you are a pro!
