It was a sad day today. Lots of colleagues took the day off, couldn't get through to friends and fams in NY. I was disappointed that Obama/McCain/Cindy were occasionally joking on their walk down to ground zero. And where was Michelle? I also got angry when Obama threw his rose down. Man, show some respect. At least McC and Cindy bent down to place their flowers. Small gestures mean alot to me.

    Possibly here:

    Home Page

. . . you can even buy t-shirts and little knick-knacks for the weekly cross-burning. Yipeeeee!

And it was so good you thought you'd share the news? Ah, I wish I could retract my red as we should table all vicious rumour-mongering for those less than stellar intellectual beings who can clearly differentiate between truth and fiction.

Jews stayed home from work . . . except the ones that were killed in the atrocity . . . they didn't read the encoded message in the Jewish Times.

You see, cujo, when someone has a track record of posting utter tripe, as you do, it is not that easy to know the why and where . . .
What a waste of time that was.
I suppose 'utter tripe' is a subjective thing, because that's what I see when I read your posts.

Well done, cujo, one whole sentence without insults . . . well, at least no cussin' Jethro.

How's the banjo playing going for you? Find the perfect whitener for those white sheets?

    Hey, I heard that .............. must be true, thought I'd share . . .

Anyway, this is deviating from the topic a bit too much.

I think Cujo is taking the p*ss, as they say.

The Jewish call in sick on 9/11 has been debunked over and over.

But in the Middle East and even Indonesia I've seen people interviewed on the street repeat the myth.

Nah, I would give credit where credit is due, he thought this a worthwhile addition to the conversation . . . only when he was called up for it did he say he thought it was a crock.

Guess what, though? People in Indonesia and the Middle East reading his post would have believed him . . .

I watched about 15 hours of TV coverage of the event. It wasn't terrorism. We'd all seen buildings full of people getting bombed during Desert Storm.... Then it was a bomb going down a chimney and bombastic quaffed anchors grinning and boasting about the high tech murder.

What does anyone know about the woman who pretended to be a survivor from the 78th floor?

I also had friends or friends of friends who went through that atrocity. And me, just a person who watched as all those planes went through. A movie? Yes - but only for about 5 seconds.

The worst for me was the - what we called here in Switzerland - the "commas" - it was the people who jumped because they knew there was no way out. And there was a lot of them, they were brave to do that.

So all of you potential pattaya jumpers - you are nothing compared to those people who had no choice. Think again.

actually more likely to survive from the top of a building than to be at the bottom with 100 something floors of steel pancaking on top of you..

I never mentioned anything about the make up of the forces deployed in operation Desert Storm. What "facts" are you talking about?

oh common, they attacked america albeit an international symbol of stature on american soil with the exception of the pentagon and possibly the white house..... though an international coalition it was primarily american and british forces that lead the ousting of Saddam from kuwait, lets not play semantics here.. it's clear what you were inferring..

I remember reading about the first 9/11-related divorce. Married man stays the night with his chippie, calls in to take a sick day. Goes back to bed. Finally answers his cell about noon. His wife says, "Where are you?" He says, "At the office." She says, "Oh, ya? You better turn on the tv. Your office building just collapsed."

A young, attractive woman, usually of questionable intelligence and morals, who dates older men.

Or it could be a secret addiction to heroin.

Could be an urban legend, but I read about it years ago as the first 911 divorce.

I was just making the point that when buildings are bombed people die. Whether it is a jet plane or a hi tech missile the effects are the same. The triumphalism of the American public when their "smart bombs" killed Iraqis and destroyed Iraqi infrastructure was just a salient example. "CNN's war" was an interesting insite into the American psyche. There was no link between Iraq and the 9/11 attackers if you are still buying that bullshit then you are truely delusional.

Who is it that you despise, Islamic terrorists killing the innocent as policy, or Americans killing the innocent as policy?

I could give you more examples of the former than your tastebuds could cope with on a good day, if you'd care to start the ball rolling with the latter.

And perlease don't waste bandwidth blaming the djoogits, we all know they're responsible for everything bad on the planet. Isn't that so?

Just seems to me if your house were on fire you would blame the person who called the fire brigade, not the arsonist.

Settle down, there Keda. All doggie was saying is if you're an innocent who gets killed, it doesn't much matter whether it was a terrorist with a bomb or a B-2 pilot with a smart missile. You're still dead and it wasn't your fault.

Djoo-hating went out of fashion 60 years ago.

This is the 21st century and it is the evil Muslims who want to enslave our lands and rape our children.

It certainly wouldn't make any difference to me . . . dead is dead, murdered is murdered. Perhaps if some people would see that there is a reasonable gripe to deal with, the situation would become clearer, instead of being self-righteous and and having the infamous 'for me or against me' mentality.

The it was the Nazis, then the Communists . . . and now we have the Arabs to concentrate on hating, aided by Hollywood and the press . . .

Ah, just watched 'Iron Man' . . . good movie . . . bad Afghans, a derivative of Arabs, close enough for people not to know the difference.

wait a minute you said "Desert storm" desert storm was an international mandate to remove Iraq from occupying kuwait, it had naught to do with the second bush war on terrorism..that's what I meant when I said get your facts straight plain and simple..

what i take exception to is that his entire premise based on why we got bombed as being that we 'intervene' in world disorder to try to smooth the edges.. we did not attack iraq first they were the aggressor on a sovereign nation being kuwait and without provocation, we just intervened with the rest of the world community..

His premise is that it was that type of action on our parts that made us a valid target and I dispute that claim.. we were just one of many that enforced the world communities laws as laid down by the UN..

bottom line is we got bombed for any 'interfering' (as it's seen by Al qaeda) in muslim countries, laws and "violating" holy land as xtians even though we have always been invited for the most part and they take exception to that...and his post seems to support their thinking..
