Thread: More Farangs Married or Dating Thai Ladies than Ever?

This is the low season for travel to Thailand, yet my wife and I have noticed a trend the past few months. There are tons more farangs than normal with Thai women. Just today, Mrs. Chi counted over 50 couples at the shopping mall and we were only there a short time. We left there and went to a small cafe and there were three Thai / Farang couples eating there. Later we went to Topps and saw a bunch there as well. We were not in the Silom area or Sukhumvit, but out by Lad Prao where the farang population is not that big.

My wife is swearing that Thai women have run out of options when it comes to finding love with Thai men and are going for farangs. She keeps pointing out all of the gay men running around Thailand. We saw many, many tables of Thai pooves at the food court today and she said that is the reason why.

Anyone else noticed a huge influx in Thai farang relationships?

Most people just have a ceremony and don't register.

According to Bangkok Post cross-cultural marriages are rising at 10 percent.

"Out of the total 6,124 married couples registered at the Bangrak office in 2006, about 50 per cent of them were Thai women and Western men. The number of cross-cultural marriages has been rising at around 10 per cent or so every year over the past 25 years," said Putichai Buranaprapa, chief of Bangrak District registration office.

Statistics at the district office also showed that in 2006, out of the 384 registered divorces some 10 per cent were cross-cultural.

Being married to farangs is in fasion as the wife puts it, there have got to be many ressons for this like money/Farang treat them with more respect/less likely to get pissed up and slap them around/ White skin/ Cute kids/ Bigger cock

I agree they have all this but, not all, a large proportion still cream off the farang and go back to the Thai male. Why as they seem to be a waste of oxygen.

Because they are just slags and it wouldnt matter if they were in england they would still be rooting around.
The cases where I know this is happening there is a big age differents between them and the wife likes drugs/gambling/drinking

British summer holidays. Brits don't care about low season. It's cheaper & the weather's usually crap back home, anyway. Bet 90% of what you've seen are Brits.

Hmmmm......maybe because Thai women have finally wised up and realized that Thai men are the scum of this earth?

There are more women than men in Thailand, and as Chi pointed out, masculinity isn't their strongest point.
