I'm sure I had hair there before...

Another day, another bad haircut.... What is it with some of these so called 'salons'... Hair left long where I wanted it short, short where I wanted it long...

And why do they shave an inch of hair off around and above the ear?... I'm sure I had hair there before...

Having said that though, my pedicure and facial were spot on.... They can do your make-up for only 50 baht too...

I have a front view of another place that I am certain had hair before but that wouldn't be suitable for your purpose....

Aerodynamic considerations. You'll find that now you'll be able to squeeze at least another 2km/h out of your Honda Dream. Fuel consumption will be down too.

That haircut is downright horrible. I would be ashamed of that. Best to go back. Demand the return of your money and then ask to shave all your hair off to rid of that shoddy work.
By the way how much did you pay?

Clean your ears. You have carrots growing in them.

One of my mates paid about 800bt for a cut in the Emporium once, it was worse than that. The majority of them are shite at cutting westerners hair which is why I stick to the "50 baht butchers" as we call them.

My Mum always said potatoes grew in ears, not carrots. Although seemingly Mrs Rabbit (not Mr Squirrel) lived in my ears & I have no idea why she was growing potatoes, rather than carrots.

So, the big question is, Rawlins: Did you tip them? I can't remember how many times I've hated a haircut, but I've still paid & still tipped! I don't know what comes over me in hairdressers. One time I had a blunt bob cut (ie it was cut to all one length just a little longer than chin length) and the stylist left one strand my previous length (about 4 inches longer). Not one hair - one strand, about half an inch thick. I paid, tipped, went home with one strand longer than the rest & hacked it off at home.

The bad news, you have very fine thin hair so you will have a hard time getting a "good" haircut in Thailand.

The good news, your hair is obviously going to be gone in a couple of years so you won't suffer bad haircuts for long!

once you have found a good stylist it is good to stick with him.

I have been using the same one for years. He knows exactly how I like my hair (shorter than it was when I went in) and there is never a queue even on a weekend (in fact I usually have to wake him up).

I give the local man 40Bht for a very good haircut. He does it just the way I like it. Mind you, the first time he took my instructions, with much nodding and a handfull of Kah, Kah, I was a tad worried. Heart of gold but bent as a nineteen baht note.
