fuck em don't pay - go full ned

Had a bit to do with Vic. traffic fines over the years, it's all do do with revenue, cost of enforcement is the bottom line.
Plead guilty and say you want to do the 2 days jail, they don't want to pay for an overnight stay and the processing of a prisoner, costs a lot. Warning letter in the mail instead of the fine.
Plead not guilty and get a court date, write the court you can not attend, do it 3 times, they will drop the case, not going to issue an arrest warrant, again costs to much.
There is a web sight somewhere that tells people how to beat traffic tickets, but most just pay up, all about the numbers and revenue.
There will be photo of you behind the wheel at the time of the offence.
The police have refused to publish it because it might frighten children.
Pay up sucker. Think of the children.
Challenge them -- double or nuthin'. Smokey and the Bandit style. You start in Melbourne and head to Mildura via Bendigo. You have to arrive at a police station in Mildura within four hours or the fine is doubled. You also have to pay any speeding tickets you get along the way.
Just write them the letter. You know you want to.
$320 Aud about £170 in real money and that's a lot of money? Simple Sybil will know how you feel.
go to jail - you will probably get a boyfriend
in France, 20K over would have almost your license revoked and would cost 1000 EUR in legal fees to fight in court
Sounds like a police state with such draconian fines and severe punishments.
the US has cops everywhere, it's a police state by definition
Get the confirmation, pay the fine and then send it to Boeing saying it was caused by the 737-800Max being grounded. They'll be paying out so much money, an extra $300 won't be noticed.
Not the State that LD was driving in but ...
Queensland fines revenue on track to nudge half-a-billion dollars, figures reveal
The rollout of new speed cameras and upgraded red light cameras are bringing in tens of millions of dollars in additional revenue to the Queensland Government.
Key points:
- The latest State Government figures show $396 million was raked in last financial year from fines and forfeitures
- Deputy Opposition Leader Tim Mander said more signage should be considered instead of more cameras
- Treasurer Jackie Trad said the cameras were proven to effectively reduce serious accidents
The latest State Government figures show $396 million was raked in last financial year from fines and forfeitures, but this year more than $444 million will pour into the state's coffers. It includes revenue from fixed, point-to-point and red light cameras, as well as other penalties issued by the Department of Transport and Main Roads and the State Penalties Enforcement Registry.
By the 2020-21 financial year, that figure will surpass half-a-billion dollars.

QLD has a population just shy of 5 Million ... about the population of Sydney
Go burn out the car in the bush.
Report it stolen.
Say you've been away from home for a while.
Claim on your insurance and get a new car.
Fine is put down to the car thief who carn't be traced.
If it was me I'd pay up quick before the fine doubles and triples as they take you to court.
I hope you like perjury Porridge coz you'll be getting it three times a day in jail, that's not including the Porridge you get from your new cell mates.
It was a car I bought...not someone elses.
As for Marcus Einfeld, I remember that case and it was different :
In January 2006, Einfeld's car was caught by a speed camera doing 60kmh in a 50kmh zone. Rather than accept the $77 fine at his court hearing in August 2006, Einfeld said a friend of his, American college professor Teresa Brennan, had been driving the car.
It later emerged that Ms Brennan had died three years before the speeding offence took place.
Of frigging course he got caught !
Anyway, to all you naysayers : yer all a bunch of pussies. Go back to your repo and Doghouse threads and bitch at each other in petty and trivial ways, like the old women you are. Backbiting and backstabbing are your strong points.
But thanks for the support from those who have encouraged me.
Well, I know that you are an affluent guy and won't mind meeting me for a beer some time and demonstrating how rich you are by handing me a paltry $ 300, just to help along the working class....

Why were you driving someone else's car?
Was it work related, perhaps delivering it or cargo?
Were you doing him a favour or he to you?
What did you do with car when you reached Queensland?
What is a 'tad' over 120?
Are you saying you do not remember doing more than 20 over the limit?
If you ask for and receive proof of your speeding offence, will you challenge it, pay it, or take out some homeless guy?
Crossed post, and you've answered the first 4 questions; it was your car, you had just bought it and was driving home; that would be clear if you said the 'previous' owner just informed you of the ticket...
Just my experience when I have bought a used car some distance away, easy to succumb and put the foot down on a motorway...possible?
Allegedly 123 kmh. Sounds suss to me.
It was a fast car and I didn't notice.
I probably didn't show up in a pic as I drove out of Melbourne after dark.
I may take James Collister's advice. Or take out my ex and say it was her.

Buys a fast car, goes on a 2,000km joy ride not noticing the speed he was driving, then complains when he's caught breaking the law and gets AUD320 added to the total cost of his trip. What a miserly, whinging old git. And if that's not bad enough, he wants to pass those extra costs on to some homeless guy.
