No instructions with the Ipad. Its all so easy. I entered the password, jumped through hoops and it locked me out. I went back to Bromley to face the techy people and their supercilious attitude but I was treated like a human and the machine worked. I dashed to a pub with wifi to finish the set up and I was locked out again.

After 45 minutes I upped and left.
I will be back tomorrow 8.59 with my professional nasty attitude to the fore.
I want a new machine, setup in front of me or I get difficult.

    Huawei, much better.

    Which one?

TG and some other phone boots will usually have a sale on their display models at 50% off. I always go for that as I change the phone every year anyhoo.

From 9am until now 8pm I have been working to get his machine working as it should. Even the wankers at the Apple store couldn't work it as its so new.
    Never again.

I am still in full screamer mode.

Whilst in an apple store in Amsterdam I purchased a power supply for an iPhone for fifty euros.
Despite being in a state of advanced relaxation I quickly woke up and thought ‘hang on, these hipster bastards are a ripoff’ and got a refund.
    Wankers.
Fifty euros for a two euro item.
    Really.

it's looking great, better than ever. Took me 2 weeks to recover my AppleID, 2 hours at the Applestore discussing options to reset the phone, and about 3 hours to do 3 upgrade in iTunes that basically locked me out with new security features etc... but iOS 7.1 now

just got a call from the repair shop at Pantip that the 3Gs was fixed, awesome, running iOS 4.1, and it's still faster than the other wankers with their iPhone 6s

Apple no longer accept compatible usb cable for iTunes update, they actually check something to see if you are using an actual Apple cable, fooking wankers

went to the Applestore, and they wanted 15 Eurs for 1 Eur cable. The good news from the wanker sales guy is I could pay 15 Eur for it, use it for my upgrade, and then return it for a full refund within 1 week.

    I mean WTF???

I have a MacBook Pro that I bought in 2011. The computer died a couple of years ago after spilling water on it. No big deal I thought as I had an external hard drive with the data - so I thought the photos and other important stuff was safe.
Fast forward until last month; I went to the apple store because I need to retrieve some of the important data. I took the computer and hard drive to the apple store explaining I need to access the data from either the puter or hard drive which they sold me. The port on the hard drive they sold me is now obsolete - I tried using an adapter but it won’t work on my new puter. The 2011 MacBook Pro is “too old” for the Mac geniuses to even look at , so they told me my only choice was to find a third party data retrieving service.

    Very fucking frustrating....

It's a shit heh? The missus got an X (much to my disgust) at the end of last year and being her first dalliance into the iphone world, signed up, all that gubbings. After a few months for some reason she had to change her password and straight away forgot it. So we go through the "recover ID" pallava and after 2 weeks, no call, no email, no activation. This went on for ages and spending ages on the phone to their call center getting told "this will work this time". took about 3 months to sort out during which time I'm amazed I hadn't taken a hammer to the fucking thing. iphones are shit. 100% gash. Can't comment on Macs but I suspect they are shit as well.

you mean the power supply cable ? or some usb cable ? dont listen to the wankers they know less about tech than Harry

you can remove the internal drive and make it external, very easy, ask some Thai genius in Mac repair shops, and they will do it

don't worry nothing was lost !!!

    fucking Apple wankers,

So I was in the Bromley store being jerked over and there was a woman there who had a dead laptop computer and the excuse for a human being was stating I can't even touch it as its so old. Thats what he said.

I wanted to tell her to take it to a computer/phone repair shop but she was like in a state of grace being told the" truth" by a young man of indeterminate sexuality.
Why should we have to buy the same bloody thing every 18 months just to keep billionaires in cocaine and jets.
Windows 3.11 did the same job as Windows 10.

absolutely, it turns out that Win10 is slower than Win3.11 and even Win95

the whole IT industry is a fraud, see Harry as an example, selling shit people don't need or use

I have Macs from the late 90s, and they still work fine

2011 is like brand new, you can revive it, you just need to find the right person. If you are in Thailand, let me know I will take care of it

the truth is Apple needs to find excuse to make obsolete their hardware so people buy more of their crap

iPhone is a fashion jewerly, so it's easy to sell, but laptops ? a bit harder, so they slow down the fuckers with new OSX updates for no other reasons than forcing you to upgrade. The fookers even admitted it recently.

In France, and maybe later in the EU, new regulations to stop IT company programming the obsolescence of the shit they sell

I can't remember when but many years ago when we were in Aussie the missus bought an ipod but when trying to load music it was a nightmare, I decided at that point that Apple didn't want to stop piracy they wanted to own you so I have never looked at any Apple products since and I don't think my life has suffered as a result of that decision.

That's really what all of the Smart phone companies do. They constantly update software with patches, fixes or other things and each one takes up a bit more functional memory and pretty soon your smart phone just doesn't work. Its how they keep people buying their stuff. Computers really no different in many regards. If you have Facebook on your phone you basically have a virus. I hate that you cannot uninstall Facebook. You can only disable it.

As for Apple, I despise the company. Always have. The iTune scam, The asshats at the stores that drank the Apple Kool-Aid and the countless consumer fools that will stand in lines like lemmings for hours to be the first twat to say "Look at me, I have the new Apple product". I mean Come on.

I have an S7 that the previous company gave me and I kept when I left. It worked really quite well. I recently upgraded to the S9+. Been a good phone thus far. My wife has a friend who works at a Samsung distribution repair shop and got a great deal. Cheaper then Google's new phone (Which I like) and better the Huawei (Which I wouldn't buy because of the security and spam risks). I took the S7 and basically gutted it and uninstalled all apps, disabled the ones I could not and use for my Mavic Pro drone and it works super fast and no B.S.
