    Immoral and Disgusting:

    Immoral and Disgusting:
I find it quite immoral and disgusting that vehicle dealers extend credit for the purchase of new vehicles where the only security is the vehicle...i.e. if the purchaser fails to meet payments they take back the vehicle… SIL is about to lose her vehicle methinks as she is 4 months behind and I am in position to help…..sigh

I don't get it, what are they supposed to do? Leave the vehicle with the defaulting purchaser?

I have considered taking over her payments ..it is a nice 4 yo manual 4WD Toyota truck. However being near on a 70yo methinks my next vehicle to replace my 16yo truck should be automatic.

I think anyone who uses "methinks" in any manner should have their bollocks flayed.

Happens all the time. I had one employee in tears as it was the second time he had lost a motocy.

They put x amount down then they miss one payment at all the money and the bike is gone.

I reckon your next car will be a hearse - and you'll not be driving.

If the SiL is 48 months through a 60 month repayment scheme then it could be worse...

Hopefully it's just a small amount per month so you don't get raped too badly.

    Rather simple, ain't it?

....adding, that one shouldn't put upon any such common moral/ethical behaviour as it apply to corporations and their kin.

    Practice one's protest.

When I first came to Thailand I could not understand why there were so many car yards overflowing with near new pickups. Did not take me long to work out why.
I bought my Isuzu off ex-MIL back in 2005 and I'm still driving it. Not really concerned with what the Jones's next door are driving.

^ You live in Wrexham, Mickmac?

Once one person gets a new car, it's in the collective psyche and they all have to find a way to get a newer car.
