He's right about a lot of stuff except that the initial results of the regulation hearings was a "Do no harm" position. Doesn't mean they won't go full ban in the future. The authorities are moving to shut down the dodgy ICOs and Ponzis not an outright ban ATT. Going full on ban will drive it underground so I think they'll be treading lightly for the short term.
Some people think it don't, but it be.

underground is fine, as long as the general public is not exposed to that trash

if you want to play monopoly with monopoly currencies, no problem,

at the end, it's all a silly game with silly rules for geeks

He's wrong about most of it. Government cannot regulate Bitcoin, exchanges can be regulated.
What he fails to recognize is the peer to peer transaction aspects. This won't stop.

People don't want government to control and evaluate currency.

unless you start seeing small trade shops in the street handling cash transactions for Bitcoins only, it's not going to be more than a game for hardcore anarchists

The world fiat financial system is not going to change overnight, but it is changing.
    Bitcoin is not going away.
As Bitcoin survives each new attack, it gets stronger and evolves.

What many fail to recognize is that Bitcoin is the internet of money. Many other crypto-currencies are piggy-backed along for the ride.

2018 will be a landmark year for Bitcoin as it gets some serious recognition.

Bitcoin is trust-less, meaning it doesn't require any belief or trust to exist. This is a game changer, and is why it won't go away.

This is where you're completely wrong.

The highly secure virtually un-hackable cryptography, located on a globally distributed ledger, means trust is no longer necessary.
The entire network is inherently honest and accountable.
Like I already said many times. Bitcoin is an entirely new phenomena for humanity. It will force government and banks around the world to become honest.
