I think it's one of those restaurants that has a reputation for that kind of service, sort of a 'theatre restaurant' if you like. People go there expecting to get treated like that, and she probably makes good tips for her performance.

Personally, I would have walked out pretty early on. For me that is not entertainment.

You'll notice that she's being rude without actually saying anything that is a personal attack on someone.

Ed Debevic's is a chain themed restaurant aimed at tourists. They started 30 years ago and were hot for awhile. They're emulating a 50s diner and she's paid to be rude. Didn't you hear her say " If I was nice to you, they'd can my ass" after somebody asked her why she was so mean ?

Instead of discussing the topic and video, it devolved into "internet perceptions" about what the poster - me - would be like as a customer in general and in this situation in particular.

I've never met the posters in posts #15 and #16.
