Thread: Nasal Americans

I thought the "nasally thing" was a Valley Girl invention. I never heard it when I was a kid.

There are 30 of these kind of people staying in my condo building now. from california and all talk with this stupid accent that whines but at the same time tries to sound upper class and maybe even a little bit English.
I have been avoiding them like the plague as they are bible bashers on a month long student exchange. total bunch of facking losers, the blokes amongst the group all look like a real life version of shaggy from scooby doo and the females are all fokin blobs with asses wider than most sois.
They leave on friday thank god. no pun intended.

Absolutely many american actors like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and many others have the decency to loose the nasally twang.

I also shudder when I hear twangs, but the worst is LOUD anyvoice. I worked very hard to get rid of my Canuck farmer accent and the "eh". I think I have an international accent now (?), but I can drawl on demand. Different accents are OK for me, I just cringe when I hear people speaking at decibels high enough to shake a building. It just seems so rude.

There's worse Jet. I could never understand what Stallone was mumbling till they voiced him over in German.

You called? I can also say that the whole older generation from the UK/Australia or whatever country you reign from are fukin annoying too..and not just the accent.


Every state has different accents depending where you're from. Mid-west, southern drawl, NYC, Boston, all have some sort of noticeable accent.

My accent is called 'alienish' from another planet.
