    Had my collar felt today

Sitting in a noodle shop in a quiet Northern town which has no police or immigration presence today and an immigration car stopped by , two uniformed immigration men got out and came and sat beside me .
They soon began asking how long I ve been in Thailand and whether I had a valid visa or not , I said that my visa was valid and would they like to see it . They said that they would like to see it .
I asked whether they would like to come back to my house to view it , they said that they would wait in the noodle shop and told me to come back.
I told them that I would be back in ten minutes......and off I walked .
I went home and got my passport , walked outside and the two immi guys were there .
They invited themselves in and inspected my passport , everything was legit .
They then said that I hadnt registered with immigration to stay long term .
I told them that it wasnt necessary to register .
They told me that it was and that the fine for not registering was 2000Baht .
They then said that they suspect me of working illegally .
They photographed my passport and told me that they will send my details to every immigration point in Thailand so I would have problems next time I left to get a new visa .
Unbeknown to them, I was videoing the whole exchange .
I picked up my camera and filmed their ID tags close up .
They told me that I cannot photo policemen and that I was in big trouble.
I told them that I wasnt taking photos, but I had filmed the whole exchange and that I am taking it to my Embassy.
They then made further threats and quickly left and said they will come back tomorrow .
Should I take this further and take the video to Immi HQ or just let it drop
    Should .
He claimed that he was a Policemen , he wasnt .
Impersonating a Policemen is an offence

Sounds like 2 wankers trying it on with a typical low-iq, lo-level, maximum fuckwittery, thai scam.

Surprised you let them in your house.

How do you know they weren't immigration cops?
Did you ask for I'd before you let them do all this?
We're they in proper uniforms? If they were driving an immigration car they were probably legit no?

You do need to register if longer than 90 days, have you been here that long?
Whoever owns the house can be up for,a stiff fine if they have not notified immigration you are, staying there.

They were immigration police , I didnt ask for ID as it began with a friendly conversation , just thought that I would show my passport and that would be it, no need for hostilities .
I havent been here for 90 days , Im on a less than 90 day visa and leave Thailand every 15 days/two months

I think you should post a photo of yourself in the garb you were wearing at the time - just to see if you're a degenerate.

I really dont think they were genuine. If they were they were drunk. They expected a pushover. So their English was good enough to question you eh? Better than most time in outer isaan and the way north.

I don't know - but if you look like Albert Steptoe on a bad day and were pissing in the corner of the noodle shop then someone may have grassed you up, innit.

could be a classic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Still I wouldn't have told them about the actual filming of government officials.

It may be legal to cross the border every 15 days and re-enter Thailand as many times as you like, but that wont stop them being suspicious of why you are doing it.
I'm surprised they never entered your house and turned the place upside down for drugs, maybe they are getting the warrant for that right now.

It's gotta be odds on now that Somchai is gonna be firing 2 fingers up your anal passage on most of your jaunts from here on in. Maybe you should pre-lube for your next run

    Should've spotted this straight away.

    The scenario/story is amusingly suspicious.
