I wouldnt call getting out of bed in the morning, slipping into a cordruoy jacket with suede elbow pads, leaving your shared accomodation with Ahmed and Mo, getting coffee breath in the staff room, calling out Mohammed 35 times in assembly, then writing on a blackboard, sitting down and logging into Teakdoor "very hard work".

What do you reckon Willy ?

Betty is not on a bad screw judging by these comments. I think I know how he gets rid of that coffee breath now, by sucking the headmasters cock

It's a mix of quality of life, enjoying the job and salary (and other factors).

Oman is just fine. I had a very pleasant week looking around the area I'll be working at in a couple of months. I'm happy things will be just fine.

BTW, on the Saudi salary front, I just quoted the lowest salary in the bracket because throwing around numbers like $10,000 per month, $20,000 per month, $30,000 per month seems rather crass. We hadn't finalized the job details, and I decided not to go with it. The top end (which I might've been closer to than the low end) was $9,000-10,000 per month.

So-called: The only B.S. here are those salarys as posted as those are quotes from the local labor force, not Ex-pats working in the oil and gas industries. I won't shock you by elaborating further, but most of us oil field trash make more than the President of the USA and have better perks.

The biggest difference is we earn our salaries.
