Stroller thinks it is and i don't want to ruin his lovely pet cookery class so i thought I'd ask you here.

i dont think eating ANY dog is normal behaviour.
or cats or horses
i'm glad you agree slimboy.
personally think it shows a lack of any form of humanity.
From a 'humans are just clever-monkey omnivores' point of view the idea of differentiating between meat sources on the basis of sentiment makes no sense - But, perhaps the fact that we do differentiate is what takes us beyond and above being mere 'clever-monkey omnivores'.....Stroller excepted of course.
Back off Margaret, you're on a sugar rush!
as many of the people on this forum know.
my 2 retrievers were very cruelly poisoned and killed by my neighbour last year.
I am still distraught at the sight of them in absolute agony and i miss them every single day.
Dogs are not fukking chickens.
people who could see them as a source of meat under any circumstances other than the absolute desperate are extremely odd.
i am serious about this.
that thread has raised my blood pressure to boiling.
It's difficult to condemn those that eat dog meat because of their culture - It's a lot easier to condemn those who do it because of a twisted sense of bravado.
I don't see what's "inhumane" about it.
As mentioned in the other thread, they have a good life, and it's not as if I take pleasure in causing any suffering, one of the neighbours is experienced in killing them fast with a minimum of ado.
I have not been able to bare witness to the slaughter - but my emotional involvement stops there.
I mean, have you ever eaten chickens or pigs you raised, CMN? There are people who can't do this, either.
danbo's avatar reminds me i havnt had lunch
this whole topic is putting me off meat
^a visit to Burger King has the same affect on me
i was wondering when this line of argument would be raised.Originally Posted by stroller

The fact in my opinion is that you are seriously twisted.

As far as I know Man is the only animal that treats other animals well till he eats them.

i don't see any relevance, none at all.
they are entirely different.
The whole crux of it is that Dogs predominately have been around for centuries as pets, not fodder.
However,I do see RC point, and that they are animals just like sheep or chickens.
Mr Kim from Korea, would happily sit down to a meal of dog,but would cry blue bloody murder if his pet Pekinese was carved up for his sunday roast.
Unfortunately, I am banned there and opening such topic with one of my other nics would give the game away. Ol' pongy would get his knickers in a twist.Originally Posted by slimboyfat
