    Who is your Childhood hero?

    Who is your childhood hero?

When I was a kid it was "John Wilson".
A fisherman who had his own tv series.
I visited one of his locations in Norwich and fished
    there.
True to form I caught nothing but small pike and roach!

the Lone Ranger and his faithful red skin indian Tonto always saying "kimosabe"
(just looked it up after more than half of century...goes to show, ignorance doesn't
have to last for ever!) Urban Dictionary: Kimosabe

just concluded: kids gotta be real dumb

anyway since my childhood lasted a while I had other heroes
-Paladin in 'have gun, will travel' tv series
-Rowdy (played by the then not so famous clint eastwood) in Rawhide

had a few more but at a very young age I lost my (frontal) virginity
all heroes fell by the wayside to be replaced by ...
*in4 sobs and prefers not to say*
and my life up to now, has never been the same again

Martin Chivers. Centre forward for Tottenham Hotspurs. I once received a Tottenham kit as a birthday present. The shorts were about 5 sizes too large and my mum and dad told me that they had previously belonged to Martin Chivers. I boasted of this to everyone else in the street and they all laughed and threw sticks at me....I honestly feel that this experience was fundamental to the myriad failures and entrenched unhappiness that I have experienced in my life
Back off Margaret, you're on a sugar rush!

^ I'll take care of it.

I liked the Cisco Kid. At the end of the episode he and Pancho always had a good laugh.

yeah i would say my grandfather too.

his war stories about Burma and other parts of the Far East were always very entertaining - although my mother didnt approve of him filling my head 'with all that nonsense'
