poolie, and I thought you were an alright geeza. seriosly, I think Utd can seriously challenge them next season depending where Ballack ends up and if Ruud stays.

People used to complain that Utd could buy any player they wanted and therefore had an advantage over other teams because they were successful.
Chelsea have taken or should i say have been taken on the short cut to success.
I can't fault that.
Ballack will sign for Chelsea. prolly Schevchenko and god knows how many other quality players. It's not a disaster to finish second to a team like that!

I would have thought that Man U fans would have been happy that Chelsea have taken over as the targets of irrational hatred.

I don't think that a team that contains Robben, Cole, Crespo, Lampard, Wright-Philips can be thought dull - Quite often this season they have dug out wins, but so do all Prem winners - no team is wonderful and entertaining week in week out....apart from the Harlem Globetrotters.

Statistically they could but even when they're shite, except perhaps for the Midds game, they do enough to win or draw and usually keep it tight in defence. Even there recent losses on other days would have been draws. (Barca)
For them to lose another 2 games on top of the game against united would be very hard to see, and then united have to win all of theirs.

Poolie, I think the ndiscipline problem could get to them and suspensions could play them into Utd's hands - thats why I think it just might not be all over yet - cheers for the civilised replys though.

I'd suggest you're 'clutching at straws' but I, too, would love them to stumble at the final hurdle and allow us to snatch the title but.........it aint going to happen.

I'd be more than happy if we can finish 6-8 points adrift securely in 2nd position.
