Congrats to the Okkers, there may be lasses in Moscow who've never had a close encounter with a Bogan of the third kind
The draw is 1st December.
How much do we want them drawn in England's group?
(A: A lot).
It takes a bit of work to organise, but a World Cup predictor would be a good idea if we could get it together. Predict the results, group winners and then each of the rounds culminating in the final. Extra points for predicting things like the top scorer. The equivalent of 500-1,000 baht each would be a decent pot at the end.
Something like this: http://thenewnabshead.co.uk/wp-conte...-PREDICTOR.pdf
I'd do it, but I'm gash at things like Excel.
Da-daaaaaaaaaaaa!
Here you go, fill your boots.

World Cup: Peru beats New Zealand to secure place at 2018 finals in Russia
Peru has ended the World Cup dreams of New Zealand, claiming the final berth for Russia next year with a 2-0 victory in Lima.
The 10th-ranked Peru qualified courtesy of goals to Jefferson Farfan and Christian Ramos in the second leg of their inter-confederation play-off.
Sorry Harry, but all the Aussies hope we get in England's group so the pom supporters can just repeat their well-worn phrase
There is always next time.
Now the qualifiers are known here are the pots from which the draw made
World Cup finals draw pots now known after completion of qualifying - ESPN FC
op eight nations were seeded with other pots grouped by confederation.
The draw will take place on Friday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. local time in Moscow (3 p.m. GMT / 10 a.m. ET).
Pot 1: Russia, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland, France
Pot 2: Spain, Peru, Switzerland, England, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, Croatia
Pot 3: Denmark, Iceland, Costa Rica, Sweden, Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal, Iran
Pot 4: Serbia, Nigeria, Australia, Japan, Morocco, Panama, South Korea, Saudi Arabia
One team from each pot is drawn into a group, making eight groups of four nations. There can be no more than two teams from Europe in any one pot, and no more than one nation from any other confederation.
The nations in pot 1 were already set last month, while Croatia were the beneficiaries of Italy being the only seeded team not to make it through the European playoffs, bumped up to pot 2 as a result.
The decision to seed all four pots by FIFA Ranking is of great benefit to Mexico. In most recent tournaments, Mexico were grouped with fellow CONCACAF nations and Asia teams (as well as New Zealand in 2010). That meant they were guaranteed to be drawn against a seeded nation and at least one European team.
Yeah we know the cunting thing is fixed.

2018 FIFA World Cup seeding
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup will take place on 1 December 2017 at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Russia.[1] It will determine the group in which each of the 32 qualified national teams will play in at the start of the tournament. The teams will be divided into four pots of eight, with one team selected from each pot to form a group.
Unlike previous editions of the World Cup, all pots will be determined by each national team's October 2017 FIFA World Ranking, with Pot 1 containing the highest-ranked teams, Pot 2 containing the next highest-ranked teams, and so on; in previous editions only one pot containing the highest-ranked teams was determined by rank, with the other three pots determined by continental confederation. The hosts will continue to be placed in Pot 1 and treated as a seeded team, therefore, Pot 1 will consist of hosts Russia and the seven highest-ranked teams that qualify for the tournament.
The draw sequence will start with pot 1 and end with pot 4.[2]
As with previous editions, no group may have more than one team from any continental confederation with the exception of UEFA, which must have at least one, but no more than two in a group.[2]
Seeding[edit]
All teams will be seeded using the October 2017 FIFA World Ranking standings,[3] which numbers in brackets show, released on 16 October 2017.[4]

Well for example England had a better qualifying record (10-8-2-0) than Poland (10-8-1-1) yet Poland are in Pot 1 and England in Pot 2.
And the fucking argies, who just about scraped through on the last day, are in Pot 1 as well.
It's all a fucking joke.
Not that it matters, because England will probably draw two, lose 1 and be on a plane home before the knockouts.
Or...

Don't expect England to eek out of group play, regardless of their opponents.

There will be the usual waffling, self-congratulatory wankfest first, so they probably won't start pulling numbers until an hour into the broadcast.

Lineker to lead host with a cast of famous stars from winning nations
Former England forward Gary Lineker, a long-standing critic of FIFA, will present the World Cup draw alongside Russian sports journalist Maria Komandnaya at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow on Dec. 1.
Lineker has often questioned the conduct of FIFA to his 6.7 million followers on Twitter — particularly the integrity of the bidding process for the 2018 World Cup that England lost.
"FIFA bidding process created a murky world where favours/bribes were just thrown around. Stinks," Lineker tweeted in June after the investigation was published that cleared Russia of wrongdoing.
In 2016, Lineker highlighted "FIFA's basket of deplorables" and separately tweeted that "FIFA is awash with corruption and self serving practices."
Usual fucking shit, some hag bellowing some rubbish Russian pop song and a poncey dancer.
