ReallyThe Warriors were in the game...arm wrestle style...and they don't do arm wrestles very well anyway...their brilliant young centre David Fusitua made three clanger errors in 10 minutes leading to 3 tries and 18 - 0 before half time. League is that type of game. They certainly aren't premiership contenders this year but they will take some top teams down along the way. If the Chooks were that good they would have gone on from 18-0 with the penalty count and referee errors...all they got was a forward pass try.
So if I were a Chooks fan I wouldn't crow, Brisbane will have their measure.

What game were they in, did you even watch it?. They were completely and utterly outclassed, couldn't score one point, outplayed in every position (Pierce schooled Johnson at how to play #7), lost every stat that matters, and the final score flattered them. Arm wrestle?. They had their arses handed to them, there was no "wrestle" in this one-sided bashing.

The Warriors have a relatively easy run to the finals and a lot of home games where they should easily pick up the 2 points, but once the business end of the season arrives and they have to play the real contenders away from home they'll be bundled out. They're paying 17.00 as 6th favourite to win the Premiership and that's a farce, 170.00 is about right.

Even money the field. If the Bookies can't split them we should be in for a tight game. Looking forward to this one!.

Course I watched it you fucken plank, as I tend to when there's something to be learned or there's money riding on a game. You've most likely never been to Thailand (5 day package tours to Phuket aside) but we get plenty of live NRL on Setanta. The rest I stream on ilkehdtv, Premier Sports carries every game.

Ok so you didn't see Johnson's getting hammered off the line by Roosters defense all night, causing him to drop the ball 2 or 3 times, forcing him to put shit kicks in, and giving him NO time to weave any of the sort of magic he's capable of when lesser teams let him run or give him time to weigh up options.

Is Johnson a better #7 than Pierce?. By a long way, he is.
Did Pierce outplay Johnson last weekend?. By a long way, he did.
Rugby League Week player ratings for the pair, Pierce 7 Johnson 5. And that's being generous, Pierce had more offloads, meters, tackles, kicks in general play, and a hand in 3 tries while the ZERO scoreline tells the other side of that coin...

Of course, I don't expect you to understand any of this. But if you ever comment on your favourite sport soccer, I'd expect you to know what you're on about

Warriors made 11 errrors, Chooks 10...I Johnson didn't drop the ball once. James Maloney was marking Johnson, not Pearce. If you had watched the game you would have seen that. It was a tough tight game until three clangers late in the first half let in 3 tries. After that all the Chooks got was one try from a forward pass. It was a bad loss, but it could have been worse.

There was talk published last week that he's definitely GONE next year (which is no great surprise obviously) but he'd get a job for life with the club in backroom management. It looks like there'll be wholesale changes from top-to-bottom at the club before next season starts...

There's a replay of the game on right now. He drops the ball at the 4:45 mark and again at 8:30. Couldn't be arsed watching the rest of the game again for all the others but they're there for anyone without sheep-shit on their glasses to see .

True...and they don't have that much money anyway...but a lot of their players were getting long in the tooth...was Steve Matai on the list?

^Manly looked quite good, and very good at times. Maybe the behind closed doors speculation for next season is over and everyone involved can just get on with it for the rest of the season?. Really bad to see a great player like Shaun Johnson get injured in that way, they're all saying he's out for the season which means you can stick a fork in the Warriors making the business end of 2015.

^ Manly have all the tough games to finish the season. Broncos, Rabbitohs, Roosters yet to come. I'll be happy if they can stay off the bottom of the table.

Brett Stewart scored his 160th try in the NRL yesterday, no 6 all time now.

That Greg Inglis is one brilliant player and only seems to be getting better.

I wish he played for the dogs.

Broncs and Manly will be a good game, Manly striking form (although it was only the warriors they beat) and Broncos due for a loss , I think they would sooner it happened now rather than in 4-5 weeks time.

Just been saved from jumping off the balcony...terrible performance. However it was a good perfomance from the Eagles and there are some heavyweights missing from the Warriors right now.

    What a pair of dickheads

Fifitas handed 12-month junior league ban

Cronulla forwards Andrew and David Fifita have been banned from Penrith junior rugby league matches for 12 months after abusing match officials.
Wests Tigers prop Matthew Lodge has also been banned, for the remainder of the year, by the Penrith Junior Rugby League over the same incident at Glenwood on Saturday.
The Fifita brothers are also set to face a significant ban from the NRL over the incident. Lodge could also be hit with further sanctions.
Former Kangaroo Andrew Fifita is alleged to have said "I'll smash you" to a referee during the incident.
