Don't watch much TV these days but i am fast becoming addicted to a programme called "Shameless" on UK channel 4. Not sure how widely available it is, but it has become something of a cult programme back home. Brits abroad would love this slice of typically English life.
The title is the mantra of our anti hero, Frank Gallagher and his motley family of rag arsed but spunky kids, and various wives and partners.
Frank is a feckless father with a heart of gold and a liking for pint nd a couple of "E"s. Based on the ficticious Catsworth estate in Manchester it is the story of a forgotton sector of British society, told with humour, grit and pathos.
Recommended if you can catch it.
