Film ending is odd as you don't find out if the kidnapped wife is dead or not and why the kidnapper never took her to the ransom handover, when he gets back he asked what happened to her.

^From the sheepish look on the big dude's face, and the way she is sprawled out on the floor, I reckon she kept yammering until he broke her neck.
Strange the way they took their foot off the gas for that last episode but still a scorcher of a show overall.Originally Posted by Davis Knowlton
I hope the 'simple midwest folk caught out of their depth in crime' dynamic doesn't wear thin as it has worked so well in the movie and both series.
After the massive disappointment of True Detective II what a relief that Fargo S02 works at least as well as the excellent S01.
I was expecting them to zoom in on the 'new model typewriter' in that scene for a joke but they didn't.Originally Posted by Davis Knowlton
Lots of tunes lifted from Coen brothers movies. Quite a few covers from songs from O Brother, Where Art Thou?Originally Posted by cyrille

I just watched season 1, the Warren Malvo character was quite brilliant.
Off to find season 2....alrighty then.
Wife just finished the movie, and seasons 1 & 2. I've watched it all twice. Now a one-year wait for season 3! Bummer.
Anyway, you've sold me on it. I'll check it out (after Boardwalk Empire & Wolf Hall are done with), and I'm thinking there is much more merit to the series than a cynical marketing exploit off the Coen bros excellent 'Fargo' movie. Hope I'm right!
I doubt very much that you will be disappointed.
