The BBC is set to launch five new high definition (HD) channels on December 10th on Freeview HD, Freesat HD, YouView, Sky HD, and Virgin Media.
The British broadcaster had said that they would launch the new channels in the new year, but they have now announced that they will have arrived just in time for Christmas, with 50% of UK homes already setup to watch HD channels. That number is expected to rise to 80% by 2016 and 90% by 2019.
Alongside the current BBC One HD and BBC Two HD, the Beeb are launching BBC Three HD, BBC Four HD, BBC News HD, CBeebies HD and CBBC HD across the whole of the UK.
The HD content created for these channels will also be available to stream via the BBC iPlayer.

It's good that they've got CBeebies and CBBC, perhaps they will give skankypam something to do other than post bollocks.
