How to make your own food at home!

I have just put the finishing touches on my 4 kilos of homemade ham, I did not smoke it because (my wife and family) also eat it and do not care much for the smoked flavor.I just put it in the oven at 200 F for 2 hours.

I also just made a gallon of dill pickles that I tested today on the 7th day of brine-ing,
while they have a great taste they are still a little to crunchy for my taste, I will let them brine another 3-4 days.
I usually only make a 2L batch of cukes, this time I doubled the recipe, so I also doubled the brine solution, I guess with the extra Cukes the pickles need a little longer brine-ing time.

Last week I made so southwest Beef Jerky, in which I used Thai beef , that came out great.

Last week I make some Queso Fresco (Mexican fresh cheese) , I am planning on expanding my cheese making in the next couple of weeks by making some Pepper Jack hard cheese.

If anyone has an interest in making their own food at home, want to post or give DIY made at home recipes or post foods they have made at home, Please post them.

Some of the food Items I also make are flour & corn tortillas,Carnitas,Mexican Chorizo, Chiles rellenos, and all kinds of Mexican foods.

Thanks to my wife that does most of the work.

    Cheers:

Sorry my pictures did not come out, I will try to re-post them again! Where dose it explain how some one could attach pictures to their post.
I looked all over when I posted my thread, which I could not find, If some one could show me where the attach pictures procedure is explained.

I hope I can attach those pictures soon again.

    Cheers:

How to make your own food at home!

Last time I checked you start by cooking food. But if you are lazy like me you get the wife to do it.

Welcome mate with your home cooking , your gonna have to learn to post some pics mate .

You will have to upload your pics to your gallery first , then re- post them back down from there ,, thats the basics of it , its easier when your new to it to use 2 windows . When you get your pics back down use the " copy image location " tab .

Good luck with it mate ,, you will see some of my recipes and pictorial results here in the kitchen
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

I am sorry, I have spent to much time trying to find out how to access picture attachments from this forum, many hours last night now this morning.

I do not know why this forum does not better explain its procedure.

I have given up on trying to post pictures, and since posting pictures would be the most important part of my post. I finally got my pictures into the gallery since last night. There is no use continuing on this tread.

I would like to thank the positive posters to this thread.
    Cheers:

555 well I'd give it a go first.

Open 2 windows on TD mate , window 1 gallery , your album, select pic , resize by clicking one or two times , right click , select image location , back to window 2 with this thread open , left click the little yellowinsert image box abve , backspace the hhtp/ motive out the address bar from the box , paste your image location in , enter bingo ! its there

    Good luck mate

It's quite easy when you get the hang of it. Click on this link.

    https://teakdoor.com/how-to-use-stuff...with-pics.html

If memory serves this is how I learned.

Also make sure the pics are in focus.

And always do a background check. A few posters have learned the hard way that not doing one can be embarrassing.

Actually don't. Lets have a laugh!

As we were having a going back home party for some family that came to the village (5) weeks ago because their Bangkok home was flooded.
My mother-in-law asked my wife to go to her brothers house across the street to get some limes, when she came back she stopped to talk to us and I noticed something yellow in her hands. I asked to see them and they were lemons ,After all these years I found out that I have a ready access to all the lemons I want, my wife says that Thai's think they are very bitter,do not use them and prefer the little limes.
Not only did I find out about the lemons ,I also learned that the 8 foot lime tree my wife planted 2 years ago in our garden is from the same lemon tree. The lemons are smaller then the ones back home, but have a good taste.

Now I will try to bake a Lemon Meringue pie, and take pictures.

I have read many post in different forums about whether lemons can grow in Thailand and we have both a lemon and lime tree in our garden. the answer is yes! they can.

I live in Nakhon Sawan province.

    Cheers:
