    Roast Lamb...

So my son requested roast lamb for his 8th birthday and i just had to oblige.

Defrosted the leg, stuck it with a knife several times and inserted cloves of garlic and rosemary.

Got the fire ready, let the coals settle a tad.

Inserted the long prong up the lambs inside leg.....kiwis premature ejaculating now....

Set it onto my battery operated spit turner.

Coated it in a baste of virgin olive oil, mint sauce and rosemary.

Slowly cook over 2 to 3 hours.

The result, the best lamb I have ever tasted....mmmmmmmmm

and after devouring half of it...

I like poisoning my neighbours dogs till they die cos I'm a cnut

    It's lamb, not mutton.

Now I'm hungry, lamb is delicious, and with some homemade mint sauce on the side it's even better. But mutton no way.

Most of the Makros I have been in recently stock frozen NZ Lamb. They try and hide it in a special freezer, not where you find the normal frozen meats. Look around the area and you might see a "stand up" freezer. That is where they hide it in the srinakarin branch. Last time, I paid 680B for a 2KG leg.

Not a bad idea, could infuse the oil with mint/garlic etc over a while for an experiment myself. Wifey tried lamb for the first time a week ago and loved it

Yup, in Chiang Rai it's just down from the Wild Boar, Croc and Emu.

I enjoy Lamb, but kids / wifey won't eat it, most of my mates aren't keen on it so I get a feed and the rest is wasted, Lamb don't reheat well.

No it ain't ya silly fucker.
Thats Beef you are talking about as I know it can't be pork, cause pigs here are butcher when they skinny.
I was at a friends house awhile back and he had some roast lamb, and I tasted a small piece of it and it made me gag so I spit it out, When I was a boy my grandma would run about 3 of them fucking sheep across our table a year,, way to much for me..
Nawty told me he made an order from SFS, so maybe thats where he got it. they made a gift of some sheep meat to me and I gave it to PP, guess he ate it, he never has said..

My Maternal Great Grandfather was a mutton rancher and he had 3 large bands of the stinking fuckers and they used to kill a sheep a few times a year at my Paternal grandparents house and expect me to eat it,, But they were Beef ranchers so we didn't have that shit often and even that was to much for me.
If you come to my house and want to eat sheep, I will cook it but I won't eat it.

Kinda...it was delivered to our door from Bkk.

I am getting some more next week and if you want, I could get some for you. Just let me know what and how much. They have great steaks, had 2 last night and lamb chops also.

as for cold lamb sangers...hmmmm...had one for lunch yesterday....multi grain bread, lamb and whole grain mustard.....oh my god.

I am lucky that the missus likes lamb and the kids love it....even nanny had a feed of it the other day.
