but thats teh trap! the breaqd is never gonna cost 1100baht (or 50% discount for me for being an all round good guy!)

you can only eat real food - bread is bad ! meat is good!
I managed to stay off the bread.

I only had sushi, then dim sum with spring rolls, then mixed tepura, then lamb & prawn curries, then a Thai prawn curry, then roast beef with mash & veggies and lastly crème brûlée, egg custard and a choccy mousse thingy. For drinks I had a couple of the excellent fruit juices, a glass of milk and a cappucino.

Hence, I struggled with Oishi tonight.

I'm having a cup of tea with a few slices of Tesco's banana cake and a pack of Lay's new variety of snack, a little bit like a twiglet, but a bit fatter, like a small weeny branch, or a twig I spose - called Maxy Mix or something like that - pretty nice actually.

It's not breakfast though, so I'm a bit off topic, just wanted to share some normal food ideas after seeing Marmites Oishi stuff - really not my kind of thing - shhh...don't tell him!

I know how you feel Nick, but it was GoW's evening, so she could choose anywhere she wanted.

I think I'm allergic to seafood, although I don't know 'cos I've never eat any, unless you count fish fingers that is.

My sister inlaw has been in the kitchen for the past hour frying up something, it smells really good but I am too scared to have a look as it is probebly fish heads or sheep brains or something.

while MM enjoys his exotic bkfast I've had my cup of joe, crackers and blue cheese, yogurt made by me...

Squeeze, this morn had: rice mixed with salad leaves and a defrosted CP hamburger cut up into it. All this topped with a generous gob of catsup!

I get freshly squeezed orange juice every morning, courtesy of Mrs bb (bless her), plus something different every day. Today it's a fresh fruit salad, yesterday Weetabix with raisons and bananas, the day before joke (rice gruel with pork, spring onions, garlic and crispy fried shallots), and tomorrow she's promised me egg and bacon sandwiches again, with that nice Italian bread from Rim Ping supermarket. I also like tea and toast with a nice high fruit blackcurrant jam.

All this without me lifting a finger, too. Bladdy lovely.

I got a peck on the cheek at some ungodly hour this morning. An egg & bacon sarnie would've been nice....

It's me Squeeze's breaky Butch, not mine... she's very well insured, the premium is in "my name" for a change, but she'll probably outlive me

Yes. I didn't want to spoil myself for GoW's dinner.

My standard brekkie is a few pieces of buttered wholemeal toast with black tea (w. milk), perhaps a bit of whatever fruit we have at home - and fruit juice. Works fine.

Hotel brekkie buffets in Thailand mostly make me disappointed. Lots of food, but most of it not very tasty.

The best breakfasts I have had were in Copenhagen, Salzburg and Rimini.

I don't suppose you've found any Austrian 'breakfast' coffee over here?

I realy miss a good Turkish breakfast.
Ate one of these every day for 3 years, a little more cheese though and lots of strong black coffee.

    plain yoghurt.

I used to add a couple of spoonfuls of strawberry jam to create a fruity yoghurt.
Believe it or not it was impossible to get any fruit yoghurts in Turkey except those hard ones that aren't really yoghurts at all.

Plain yogurt with cashew nuts, green tea. Easy to keep that around.

After an especially hard night it might be a large bottle of chang beer to wash down 2 1/2mgs of valium. Then scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, coffee in the afternoon at a restaurant. That usually puts you right.

when you get around to it, let us know how you made it, type of milk used and where you bought it.

I use non fat powder milk Mission brand ~138 THB from Lotus, low fat starter yogurt from Villa at 42 THB (round plastic box - red cover)
