    Prawn Passanda..With Pics...

    Hi All
I made this last night, this is my 1st attempt with pics...

    You need:

    300g Cooked prawns
    6 tbsp rice
    3 tbsp Natural yogurt
    3 tbsp Double cream
    1 Tin Evaporated milk
    2 tbsp Ground almonds
    3 tbsp Flaked almonds
    2 tbsp Tomato puree
3 tbsp Mango chutney (pick out large pieces of mango)
    1/2 Small finely chopped onion
    4 Cloves crushed garlic
    2" Grated ginger
    5 tbsp Veg oil
2 Mild finely chopped chilli peppers (de seeded)
    1 tsp Tumeric
    2 tsp Curry powder
    1/2 tsp Chilli powder
    1 Small bunch coriander
    1 tsp Garam Massalla

    INSTRUCTIONS

Chop the onion and chillis, peel and grate the ginger and crush the garlic.

gently fry all these off in the oil

Whilst you frying these mix the curry powder, tumeric and chilli powder with a little water (i used to much water) should be a ketchup consistency.

Add this to the pan and cook for 2-3 mins

Now add the tin of evaporated milk

    Continued...

Mix in the tomato puree, double cream, mango chutney, ground almonds, flaked almonds and yoghurt...Add the prawns. stir it all in for 5 mins, all on a gentle heat.

Continue to simmer for 5 more mins then add the Garam massalla and the chopped coriander (I leave a little coriander for decoration)

Stir it all in and leave to simmer for 2 mins

    And your done....

FOR THE RICE - PUT THIS ON WHEN YOU BEGIN COOKING THE CURRY

I add 2tsp of Tumeric and the same of salt and 4 Cardomman pods to the water your cooking the rice in, im nit sure if this the exact recipe for Pilau rice but it works for me.

Drain the rice and take out the pods..

    And your ready to serve...

Doesnt look the best but it tasted nice, if a little sweet for my palette.. Please excuse the quality of the pics, I done them on my blackberry.

    Enjoy
