That's a nice size, too. I'll go and buy some tomorrow.
140g is the standard weight for a single portion in most restaurants. Good deal.
^ 140g would be the standard weight after cooking.
Salmon loses about 25% of its weight through the cooking process.

Do they sell smoked salmon?
Nasty farm raised shit. I would never eat anything but wild caught salmon.

Well most here do when they get a craving, I for sure did stop at a Tesco Express on the way home and had a look. My mee, was the reply.. 70 or 80 bucks a kilo for the fresh Norwegian can be had, but that is just too dear for me... Sure on holiday I cook up the real kind. The life of an expat. Using Thai chilies in my salsa instead or jalapeno's or habanero's as well..
and some decent Norwegian salmon too.
I will just leave this here...But the farmed shit is still worse.
The truth about supermarket salmon: It's come 22,000 miles from Alaska to your plate (via China, Suez and the Med)... and may be 18 months old!

Too true. Salmon farms also destroy oyster beds and cause all kinds of diseases in seals and otters.

Thank your for pointing that out. We here in Washington are dealing with a rather nasty situation with these farmed monsters. There was a recent rupture of the pens these Atlantic salmon are kept in and it invaded the native waters...

They really a blight on the local salmon fishery and I hope after this disaster that this industry will be banned. Sadly in Drumpfs country they are rolling back every regulatory body they can so this will most likely just get worse. I hope on a local and state level we can fight it off.
