First, I must apologise for no photos, I just havn't got round to doing any yet.
A while ago, I got a craving for some sausage rolls, so I thought I'd have a go at making some.
I got a pack of puff pastry in Makro, 12 sheets around 150mm sq, 145bht. Then I bought some pork mince from the market.
Once home, I sweated some onion and garlic in a pan and let it cool, I then put the mince in a bowl and put in a couple of handfuls of dried breadcrumbs. I added parsley, thyme, rosemary, pepper and some worchester (SP) sauce to the mince, and then tipped in the onion/garlic mix. Next step was to give the whole lot a good stir.
Get a cutting board, and sprinkle some flour on it. This stops the pastry from sticking. Lay a sheet of pastry on the board, shape some of the mix into a sausage and place it on the pastry. Roll the pastry over and seal it with beaten egg. Make a couple of cuts into the pasty and coat with some more of the beaten egg.
Cook in the oven for around 20 mins at 220c. Bloody lovely.
